***Unbroken replacement bulb received today.I updated my review to five stars because the company was so efficient in getting a new bulb sent out to me within just a few days! Thank you greatly! I will absolutely not be concerned about making this purchase again in the future. I imagine shipping these is tough, but they wasted no time getting a new one out to me! I shared a photo of my happy dragon.(Despite the reviews of this bulb arriving broken I decided to place the order since I am having a hard time finding this size in my hometown. Ugh! Unfortunately my first order has been received broken. I will return it and will be hopeful for a unbroken exchange. I will update my review to 4 stars if the second one makes it in one peice.)

Horrible experience- two failed attempts
First off I’ve always loved reptisun products I’ve been using their bulbs for 8 years for my bearded dragon with no issue. That being said this most recent purchase has been the worst experience replacing my bulb. The first bulb I ordered came in a box and was intact but wouldn’t turn on, it happens, no biggie, I just returned it. This is how the replacement they sent me came. Only wrapped in bubble wrap (that’s completely shredded and popped deeming it useless) and you can hear just holding the package that the bulb is completely shattered inside. I cannot believe they delivered it like this.

Bearded Dragon Light.
Great for our beaded dragon. I like how this goes across the whole tank. These are getting harder and harder to find in this large size at a decent price but thankfully Amazon still carries them. Arrived in great condition. Happy dragon.

One of the best
Bulbs work well and last a long time. If you are serious about reptile keeping you should invest in a solar meter. Reflectors and screens can cut your uvb in half or double it. Lots of good information on the internet but its impossible to determine what your uvb is at a given distance without one. I dont throw out my old bulbs, instead i put them in the lower portion of the cage and create a shaded zone. Make sure you don’t overlap uvb bulbs if you dont really know what your doing, too much uvb is harmful. If you have a 4ft cage get a 2ft T5 and put a MegaRay on the other end. Add a par38 flood if you need to add more heat to the basking zones, temp gun is a must have tool.

Bulb arrived broken two times.
The first bulb arrived intact but would not turn on. The replacement bulb arrived a couple of days later and was shattered. The packaging is inadequate for shipping glass light bulbs. I would not recommend ordering this product.

Delivered Broken
Like any responsible reptile owner, I bought a spare bulb just in case something unexpectant happened to my first bulb. The good news is that the first bulb lasted it’s expected life. However, when I went to replace it, I opened the spare bulb I purchase several months ago and found it to be broken. Not only that, but it looks like it was repackaged in it’s original packaging. I speculate this bulb was previously returned or had shipping issues with it before. And since the return widow has now expired, I am left with a broken bulb.The moral of the story is, check your bulbs when they arrive if you don’t plan on using them right away.Although I am disappointed in the shipment and handling of this particular bulb, I am very pleases with the bulb’s performance. I have used this brand for two years and my reptile has thrived.

The bulb stopped working after 3 days and ruined my reptisun t5HO terrarium hood along with it. Which also caused my whole house to smell like chemicals.
