We have a wild eastern box turtle that lives in our back yard. When the weather gets dry, we noticed he gets dehydrated and doesnât look well. Got this for him and put it in his regular path and he loves it! He frequently soaks and naps in it or just drops by to get a drink.The unit is solid and stays put. Itâs easy to clean and itâs the perfect size. The molded ridges and non-uniform edge made to look like rocks give him good traction getting in and out. I have also caught snakes and insects stopping by for drinks on hot days. Itâs been a wonderful addition to our yard!

Little Bath for Birds
We put this out for a bevy of little lizards that run around outside to give them a drink. Turns out the birds love it. Little finch types and nut hatches jump in and go to town bathing in the bushes. Great dish. Sturdy, easy to clean and just the right size for small reptiles. We havenât hosted any of those lizards yet for a drink but its still getting plenty of use. Go figure. LOL

The plastic material is very hard and sturdy. The size is pretty much my only complaint and the reason why I had to knock off a star, it runs a little small for being a XL. I totally expected it to be bigger. I have a mid size box turtle and she could JUST comfortably fit in it, without being submerged.

Good size, stays in place
I looked at several options for a large water bowl for our bearded dragon. I selected this one because it is heavy, so stays in place, and does not move around the enclosure when she walks through it, or climbs into it. It is also the right size for an adult bearded dragon. She can fit the majority of her body in it to soak if she wants, but it is not so large that she could submerge herself entirely to possibly drown. I didnât care so much about the aesthetics of it, but it does look fine if you are interested in a plastic rock-like effect. The only downside was it was the most expensive of all the options but it was worth the price for stability and less chance of spills .

I have the smaller ramp version & some other shape water basins by this brand. This Extra Large Ramp will indeed work with my adult Eastern Box turtles but it is also great for my babies Braxton & Dana. Nice for them to bathe, eat & bask under supervision in shallow water. Iâll order another Extra Large Ramp for my adults.I added a photo of the Small Ramp in Aqua Blue for comparison.

A great tortoise water dish. Perfect size for submerging without being unsafe. Cute semi natural design. Easy to clean. Heavy enough the critter can’t move it but I can.
