Good product. Bought again.
I used this in my Trantulta enclosed and she seems to like it. We’ve had no issues.

Perfect product for spider homes ð
Exactly what i needed for my spiders home ð I love that I dont have to worry about this stuff being moldy or infested. I feel a ton safer using this than dirt from outside for my spider ð

Good product
My daughter rescued a mantis right outside our house. So I thought why not letâs keep it, it would have died by the cold or eaten by our dogs if we just left it. So I did some research on whatâs best for mantisâs habitat and what they like, and found these wood shavings. With these and some wood sticks, we managed to keep her alive for a good 3 months and she also laid an egg sack. I would recommend this product to anyone with a reptile.

Good for jumping spiders
My jumping spider likes this substrate in his enclosure. The small bag stores easily and it was inexpensive.

Mold!
I put only a few pieces of this in with some other substrate, and it immediately got moldy.

This isnât safe for arachnids
All arachnids molt and this substrate isnât safe for an arachnid to molt on. No mulch is. Mulch has both hard and sharp edged chunks of shredded wood and other material in it. Arachnids are incredibly thin skinned and soft when theyâre molting and in the 7-10 days that follow. Anything sharp or hard can easily puncture their soft, fresh exoskeleton and mortally wound them. Do not buy mulch for your pet arachnid if you want to keep it safe and alive during and after a molt. Use top soil, eco earth, reptisoil, or literally any other substrate that isnât mulch or wood chunks.
