My turtles love this stuff
I’ve been purchasing this turtle food for a while now because my turtles really seem to love the taste of it; does not have a strong oder- actually smells good, stays fresh, is not artificially colored, and keeps my turtles healthy. Easy to use; as soon as my turtles see me pick up the jar they swim to the top of the tank waiting for me to throw some in. They don’t dirty the tank; they’re low priced, but great quality.

Excellent product
This has been our go to turtle food. We have a red eared slider and I’ve cycled through several different types of food, from several pet stores. Ultimately we landed on this one and it worked. He has never had an issue eating, he put on weight and his shell cleaned up. Also, it was the best price on Amazon. 5 stars.

Good for baby turtle but check………….
I should start by saying this “Zoo Med” brand is a good quality food for our Red Eared Slider.Found the little red eared slider laying upside down in our yard about a month ago and his shell has grown to 54mm wide (2.1″). Its main diet is Zoo Med hatchling formula (1/16″ or 1.57mm) which fits in his mouth just right.As he grows to over 2″ we wanted to find the next size food that’s right for him.This Zoo Med “Growth Formula” pellet we just bought is too big for his mouth even though it states it’s for turtles 2″ and bigger. The label states the pellets are 3/16″ (4.79mm) but they are actually bigger. Measured at 6 to 6.5mm which is way to big for the little ones mouth. I gave him one just to see but realized quickly it was too big and could possibly create a choking hazard. Took it out and broke it in half so he could eat it.I just want buyers to understand that it might be a little to early to feed this to a 2″ or so red eared slider turtle and maybe wait until it fits in his mouth… :)In conclusion it’s still good turtle food even though the measurements are not right. For now we’ll keep feeding our little red eared slider his “Zoo Med” hatchling formula with occasional treats like blueberries, dried meal worms(yummy) and dried shrimp. 🙂

Turtles seem to like it…and catfish too.
I bought this food after a friend had some that she let my kids feed the turtles in the pond next to their condo. The turtles (and the catfish that came to join the turtles) love it. Once we threw some on the pond, the turtles from the other side could be seen bee-lining over for it. I don’t know if this is everyone’s experience, and granted my friend had been feeding the turtles for a while, so they knew what was coming. I can’t say that the food in and of itself attracted the turtles, but that the turtles knew what it was due to regular feeding from my friend and came to eat it with gusto. It doesn’t have a bad smell that was noticeable, seemed as fresh as turtle food might be to appear. As for the taste, the turtles seemed more than happy with it.
