Moreover, the product receives positive feedback for its functionality and quality. However, customers disagree on the size and sturdiness of the scoop, with some finding it too large and flimsy. Additionally, the hole size receives mixed reviews, with several customers noting the holes are too small for proper sifting.

    works well overall
Bought 3 of these to go with our three giant petmade litter boxes that started putting out a smell that reminds me of wet diapers after we switched to micro crystal clumping cat litter that doesn’t clump so well when you have multi-cats and litter never has time to clump and only kinda gels up instead! This scooper works great at getting all the tiny pee balls a regular scooper can’t catch IF you are using micro crystals or clump & seals grainy sandy litter types, any bigger granulated litter sizes will not go through this scooper. it does however take longer to scoop with this scooper since you have to shake it constantly like you are mining for gold! still the extra time it took to clean the boxes today was well worth it, the litter boxes only have a very slight litter smell now that you only smell when scooping so thats a plus..given shape of scooper front, it doesn’t work well in rounded litter box edges nor does it work well for scooping at side of boxes for that matter but, i was able to easily partially square & round tip up by just using a pair of scissors and now scooper is perfect for our need.update: we have cut all the way across from upped sides and put a metal scrapper edge on all these scoopers, love how this scopper was so easy to alter to our needs. now i just mostly scoop boxes with these instead of scooping with regular scooper first and sifting with this afterwards. Anyhows wanted to add that this sifter scoop also works with the sophresh grass seed litter that we are now also using.

    Good product, great price.
Great product. Does what it is supposed to do. Perfect for getting into those corners for thorough cleaning. We use it for our young Kenyan Sand Boa’s tank. The only minor issue that we have is that the holes are big enough that some of the smaller pieces of waste (mostly small urate bits) fall right through sometimes. However, even with those small bits, the scoop does a great job of bringing them to the surface of the substrate for easy removal. The scoop has no problem with larger pieces. It only cost a few dollars and does work well (if you have animals larger than our approx. 8 or 9 inch Sand Boa, you probably won’t encounter any issues at all), and I would definitely buy it again.

    By far, the BEST scooper
First of all, I use Pretty Litter for my adult cat & kitten. Before I switched to pretty litter I was using Dr Elsey’s clay litter. Finding a good scooper was my goal and I found it. I tested the scooper with the clay littler and the crystallized pretty litter & the scooper was perfect for both. Like some people commented, I wish the scooper had a squared tip versus the triangle tip. It would help scoop more litter at a time. To solve that problem I use a small dust pan to hold and keep most of the dirty litter in the scooper while I shake it. It does a very good job at keeping small particles on the scooper. It’s also easy to wash and very sturdy. I will definitely repurchase this item. Thumbs up!

    Great for cat litter!
I am using this to lift cat litter away from the edge of her litter box. It has been so difficult with any other scooper to get her litter away from the edges. I just place it against the litter box and slide it against the side to release the clump.

Great as a sifter; not great at initial pick-up.
If you’re an ailurophile who also happens to be resentful you’d missed the gold rush days, this is your tool. Going through your cat litter will now be akin to panning for gold. The sifter really does work in retaining those little chunks that have broken off the larger chunks, those annoying bits that fall through a regular litter scoop. You gently shake, shake, shake and the miniscule pieces stay behind as the sandy grains sift through the smaller holes. However, what works against this scoop is that angled bayonet front. I don’t get it. I guess if you have a gopher or other rodent living in your cat’s litterbox, and you want to really attack it as you’re cleaning the litter, this will totally work. For me, because I don’t have a rodent infestation in the cat areas (probably because the existence of my cat takes care of that), the triangle front just gets in the way. I see a chunk I want to get, I aim the sifter for it, but when I raise the sifter, the chunk I want falls off the side of the triangle with most of the litter. The only part that holds litter in is the back 2/3 of the scoop that has the sidewalls. And I can’t get close enough to the corners and edges of the litter box to scoop out pieces that are against the side, because the triangle works against my ability to get close to the sides of the box. Things I aim for either don’t get picked up, or fall off the sides of the angles. It’s actually pretty frustrating. I’m considering just breaking off the triangle front and macguyvering it into the shape of a regular scoop.Because the sifter holes are so fine, it takes too long to shake your way through for large chunk removal, so what I do is remove the big clumps and solid wastes with my regular cat litter scoop first, then go over it again with this finer sifter.
