Use in reptile cages. Cheaper than local pet store
Put in a box turtle cage after doing research and all the pet stores use this in their reptile cages. We tried dirt, but it just molded. I bought some moss at dollar store to go with and he loves burying himself in the moss. All in all much happier turtle.

Used for plant soil.
I use this as a additive for my soil to make it more chunky. Been a few months now and seems to be working great! I recommend if youâre looking for some bark to add to soil just have gloves or youâll get splinters.

Love this reptile substrate
Zilla is the best. Even if my reptile flips the water dish over the stuff never molds or smells gross. Every order this every month for my many critters like a Tegu and chubby frog . Also, when I change their cages every week or week and a half I throw a used bark in my garden. I like that I donât have to throw this away and I can use it as ground mulch afterwards.

I donât have any reptiles. I bought this to mix them into potting mix for plants to increase drainage. I also used it on some orchids. But these barks are huge, and a lot of them are narrow long sticks that you have to manually pick out. Other than that, this is great. Reasonable price and the barks look clean and fresh. My plants all love the simple recipe of cheap potting mix + perlite + barks.
Ordered this, upin receiving it, realzied the sizing was way off. Pieces did not fit properly, head/eye packs were too small. Sent back for refund which I did get. –

Its the same as regular overpriced orchid barkThere are some longer pieces but my plants fonr seems to mind. Good size bag as well.

The barks are not treated well, grew fuzzy fungus all over my soil surface (I used it as a soil add on). Not going to continue to use it. And I know the fungus started from the barks because barks on dry soil had fuzz on them
