The Zilla Black Reflector Dome incandescent light fixtures are designed to deliver years of heat or light to reptile terrariums. Each is topped with a ceramic socket to withstand constant heat of bulbs up to 150 watts. The black exterior and reflective white interior finishes are powder-coated for added luster and long life. 6 ft. power cord with an in-line on/off switch is positioned near the fixture for easy use. Spring clips, to hold dome securely on screen top, are included.

These are so dependable!
We have about 10 of these in both the larger (this size) and the smaller 4 1/2″ size for UVB CFs, and all work great (we have a lot of reptiles). Be careful when unscrewing bulbs as it can get hot and the expansion can make the ceramic parts want to unscrew rather than your bulb. Wait until completely cool to change bulbs and that helps.When it comes in the mail, make SURE to check the black dome part for damage, because I just put out a new one that I had ordered a little over two months ago, and it seems like it got bent and damaged in shipment (maybe from being dropped? I don’t know, it was bent INSIDE the undamaged box), I know it wasn’t me because it was brand new packaging. It cracked the powder coating so I don’t know how long it’ll last, but overall, I love that these have the heavier-duty ceramic fixtures that are more heat-resistant than the plastic ones which crack.

Good device! Heat is nice.
After too many cold nights, I came to the realization that my critters were not happy at 66F and would not use the little blankets I bought them. I guess using blankets isn’t something ectotherms benefit from.I’m using this dome in conjunction with iPower GLTIMEDWEEK timer and BYB – 100W Ceramic Infrared Heater to control heat my the animals I have in a screen cage. The dome of this reflector gets hot, but so far, it has not gotten hot enough to damage the screen top of the enclosure.I’m not sure what else there is to say. This is a solid, functional, heavy duty reflector dome that works well in my current setup.

Works as advertised – Use in Sulcata Enclosure
No issues! I use two of these alongside the BYB 100W 110V Ceramic Infrared Heat Emitter Brooder Coop Pet Infrared Lamp Bulb, White (which I’ve also reviewed). The bulbs fit perfectly into these lamps, and the bulbs are shorter than the length of the lamp so they do not protrude out. I have two of these lamps laying flat on top of a terrarium which is installed inside of a converted dog house that now acts as my fall enclosure for my sulcata. The lamps each come with 3 little springs to hold the lamps in place on top of a screen, so that they don’t slide around. The springs aren’t strong enough to hold the lamps in place if you plan to tip your terrarium lid over or prop the lid on its side, which I won’t be doing, so for me they aren’t really important. They are only useful if you are afraid your lamps might be get bumped out of position.

Works perfectly
I have 2 of these attached to the screen top of my sons ball python tank. I have one with a day time heat bulb and one with a night time heat bulb. I love that there are little hooks to attach the done to the screen, less of a chance of it falling off or getting broken. I have the 5.5 inch domes and they are perfect for the 10 gallon tank. There is a switch on each one so it makes it super easy to switch from day time to night time. I would buy this again.

Quality product
Used to be a fluker guy but my last few seemed poorly made and shorted out rather quickly. This one seem to be put together pretty well and after 2 months, no issues. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and I actually have 2 of them on my ball pythons enclosure now, one for a daytime basking bulb and the other for a nighttime heat light.

8.5 inch black dome with spring holder
This review refers to the black Zilla 8.5 inch premium dome reflector. Other reviews mixed in here refer to other models. This is a sturdy dome with a porcelain socket that does have an in line on/off switch. It does not have a hanging loop. However, if you are looking to rest this directly on a screen top it is ideal. Included in the price is a small collar with three attached springs which anchors the fixture securely to the screen. This feature eliminates the possibly of the fixture being knocked or siding off, especially if, like me, you have a top with a hinged, flip up front portion. Considering that the spring clip sells by itself for $3-$4, that makes this fixture a bargain.

Tiki Loves Her Warmer Lamp- Perfect for Birds and Winter Nights!
I use this to keep my cockatiel warm in the winter time. Her doctor recommended it. Tiki loves it. If it is really chilly, she sleeps in her Lovey and the lamp is close. She trills when the lamp goes on. If it is only a little chilly, Tiki sleeps in her Lovey and the lamp is on, but not as close. Both work great. Be careful that the lamp is cooled, before moving it to wooden surface. It gets warm enough to scorch wood. Ask me how I know. LOL

Este domo de la marca Zilla, me fue muy útil que fuera de 8.5 pulgadas (21 cm de diametro), ademas de que resiste hasta 150 watts, concentra el calor y lo proyecta al área donde lo coloque, produciendo el calor exacto para las iguanas verdes; en cuanto al precio, considero que estos objetos para mascotas son caros sin embargo para la calidad y el cuidado necesario de las mascotas es aceptable, en conclusión quedo conforme en cuanto a calidad y precio.

Put two in my dove coop so they’re warm and cozy for the winter. Like the fact that they are not lit up, gives the birds natural light during the day and darkness at night which lets them sleep more peacefully.
