Traditional Chinese Medicine Food Therapy has been used for thousands of years to heal people and animals and to maintain good health. The path to good health is good nutrition.
Most veterinarians do not understand the healing powers of whole foods, relying instead on processed prescription diets made with questionable ingredients. World renowned holistic veterinarian and veterinary food therapist, Dr. Judy Morgan has a passion for healing her patients with whole foods, minimizing the use of medications and chemicals.
Making food for your dog does not have to be complicated! It can cost less than buying prescription diets and medications. The recipes in the book meet AAFCO and FEDIAF nutrition requirements for adult dogs.

Fascinating and beautifully done
Incredible book filled with so much Wonderful info, from several Balanced diets, info on the why’s and what to feed, to help with specific issues your dog may be experiencing and why they might be experiencing it in the first place. Feeding amount guidelines are given and how to calculate calories needed for your particular dog so you know how much of each recipe your dog will need you to make 🙂 for him/her. I found the free online omni exponent calculator useful for calculating a more precise measurement on how much my pup and senior dogs need, using the formula Dr Morgan supplied in this book. There are treat recipes, foods to help fight cancers in this growing canine epidemic, suggested supplements and big bonus, all items used are pretty easy to find and make! Lots of graphics for info inspiration as well! Not as many photos of the recipes themselves as I’d have liked, but then again, very few of my cookbooks come with photos of the finished product either… Love this book and highly recommend it.

Love the homemade dog food and treats
Have found all of her books very useful and practical when you are on a budget. My dogs love the food I make from Dr Judy âs recipes. My dogs are healthy now and some has loss weight on the pup loaf.

Help your pets live longer, healthier lives
Dr. Judy Morgan is such a fantastic resource for pet parents. Sheâs a retired holistic vet and has a huge amount of free resources on FB, YouTube, and her website. This is a great resource to help you be in control of your pets health. Before I found her, I felt like I was at the mercy of whatever ailment or interpretation my vet explained. Now I feel empowered to take that information and do something to help my dog besides put her on drugs that often lead to side effects which made her health worse. She breaks down Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in a way thatâs manageable for pet parents. You can make a huge difference in your pets health just by switching out certain foods for others. It sounds complicated, but this book and her other resources make it much easier. I highly recommend this for any pet parent.

Seems to be helping my dog.
The explanations of Chinese veterinary thought concerning the different types of dogs. The number of recipes is large, but quite a few of the ingredients are difficult to source where we live. I have 3 recipes that I use, with the ingredients available. I switch protein sources meat, chicken and pork through the week.

We love Dr. Judy
Iâve been a long time follower of Dr. Judy. We love her advice and guidance, and really truly cares about pets and wants to enable pet guardians to make the best decisions possible when it comes to their health. Iâve used the original yin and yang book so much the pages are worn. This version is a great refresh and more organized than the original.

Small book big purchase
I have the first version of this book and it was a game changer but this book is so much more. All of the knowledge about the different types of animals and the quiz to help you figure out which type of feeding could be best for your dog has been so helpful. I have 2 dogs and I have blended recipes but made sure that the food that would do harm for the other dog wasnât part of the final recipe. It has food that you should avoid for certain health issues and food that is good! Best purchase if you want to start or even to make sure you are doing right making homemade dog food! Buy it!

I wouldâve bought this book for the ginger cookie recipe alone⦠itâs been a game changer for my dogs reflux! The rest of the book is amazing! I did the personality assessment for both my dogs and I couldnât believe how spot on the descriptions of them and their health issues were. The recipes and food suggestions are realistic and easy to follow. I will be recommending this book to everyone with a dog.

I have bought many dog cookbooks and done a lot of research and this book is the only one I like and trust. I am very happy to have so many recipes that I can actually make without huge long lists of ingredients which are hard to find. Not only this but the recipes do not have a bunch of carbs like other recipe books. When my dog got diarrhea for 2 days i made her a recipe from the book and everything cleared up.

Excellent book! Helped me start ballanced homecooked meals for our pup. It gives you options if you don’t have all ingredients at home or you don’t want to feed raw. Recommend.
