Great scratch factor, weak adhesive
These initially stick to surfaces well enough, but over time I found them drooping from the locations where I placed the material. I’m not looking for gorilla/super glue adhesion, but something more durable would be great.

Easy to Apply!
We have four cats, two who find stretching and scratching the couch to be relaxing. Unfortunately, shredded couch is NOT the look I am going for in our living room. I’ve tried to drape other scratching fabrics, like jute, over the couch but they never stay put. The double-sided clear panels work but the sticky surface attracts cat hair and dust and become ineffective after a couple of months. I saw this product and got excited to try it! It comes in different sizes and colors so you can match your sofa, chair or cat tree. The blue I received is darker than my couch but it’s nice they offer a choice. When I received it, I unfolded it and let it lay flat for a day to help get the creases out. Then I simply decided where I wanted it, cut it to fit and peeled the paper off the back. It was easy to apply and stuck well to my furniture. The cats were unsure of it so I sprayed it with a catnip spray. After that, my two felines went for it, claws out! The material stayed in place as they scratched and has remained stuck now for 3 weeks! Overall, this was a good solution to protect our sofa and I will be buying more for my chair. Cats are cats and they need to scratch. We try to get them to use only their scratchers and trees but sometimes the furniture is just too convenient. It’s great to have a product that is so versatile and easy to use!

Very durable and protective fabric for couches and chairs
My sphynx has recently become obsessed with using my Ikea couch as a scratching post. However, I noticed a bit late since he had already scratched some holes in the lower portion of the arms of the couch. This fabric has been a lifesaver. It is easily trimmed to size and prevents my cat from doing further damage to my furniture. The roll comes with enough fabric to cover quite a bit of couch space. I only used about three feet of it since my cat would only scratch near the corners of the couch. The one thing that could be improved about the fabric is the self-adhesive backing. It is not strong and works terribly on fabric couches. Luckily, the roll comes with a handful of pins that can hold the fabric in place if needed. They work decent and have kept the fabric attached to my couch for a while. Overall, I think this is a cost-effective option for preventing or covering up damage to your furniture by your cats.

Decent Color Match But Poor Adhesive
My cats utterly demolished one leg of a new (not inexpensive) cat tree. Where they used to be made of carpet and sisal over wood, these new cheaply made ones are some sort of cardboard or pressboard covered by fabric and they do not hold up at all: not only does the fabric shred, but the underlying layer is removed in chunks like crumbling paper, and thereâs not much I can do to improve the look aside from camouflaging it. This seems to match the color closely enough that I doubt anyone will notice the texture is different, and I can always replace it or cover the whole base in sisal if it doesnât work out. It was easy enough to cut, but the tools included were essentially useless to me. The measuring tape was off, and the tacks pointless. The adhesive back seemed to do the job well enough. Iâll update if there are any changes. Updated to add: adhesive came loose three times. I ended up hot glueing this to the post.

Weak adhesive
The Yangbaga Cat Scratching Post Tree Replacement is a basic material set for your cat tree or furnishings. I ordered the set specifically to protect my mothers sofa from her cat tearing off the corners and sides due to stress of a recent move. The material is strong enough. The problem lies in it being too rigid, not strong enough adhesive and needing to use the included corkscrew pins to hold the material to furnishings. Last thing I wanted was to push pins through my moms sofa. The material held for about 2 days on a smooth clean sofa surface and then fell off. The material needs to be ironed to hold a crease when going around 90 degree corners. This set is probable fin for cat posts, however may still need some sort of fasteners to keep it mounted.3 star.

This works
This scratch pad works. It is super easy to install and can be trimmed to make it fit for what you need. Once installed it seems to hold up the abuse of my cats nails well.

Perfect my cat’s
I recently got this scratch post tree replacement and its perfect! Measuring 80” x 16”, this self-adhesive scratching pad is perfect for protecting my sofa and other surfaces. It’s trimmable, which allows me to customize it to fit various furniture pieces, ensuring maximum coverage wherever my cats like to scratch.Installation was straightforward; the adhesive backing sticks well, keeping the pad securely in place. My cats took to it right away, and I love that it helps redirect their scratching away from my furniture. Plus, itâs a cost-effective solution for repairing and recovering old scratching posts. Overall, I highly recommend this product to any cat owner looking for an effective and easy way to protect their furniture while giving their furry friends a designated scratching area!

Needs to stick better around corners.
The mat is flexible and will wrap around a corner. On my sofa it is a sharp corner, and the pad pulled away. I would rather have that than another one I had where they adhesive stuck to the surface and seperated from the mat. Harder to remove. Instead of bending it around a sharp corner I would suggest cutting it into two pieces, one for each surface. Will not damage PU fabric.
