For the love of an aquatic turtle
I bought these two items for my aquatic turtle aquarium. I have the temperature control placed where it is easily readable when approaching the tank without bothering Tommy Boy if he happens to be sun bathing at the time. I have the ceramic lamp positioned right next to the day lamps and they are on a timer so I donât have to reach over the tank to turn them on and off. This is my first aquatic turtle and Iâm learning what makes him happy and keeps him healthy. I thought these items were reasonable priced.Update: Heat lamp still works great-no problem there. However, the digital thermometer that came with it stopped functioning correctly after only 5 months. It shows the water temp as continuously rising even though the water temp is steady at 75 degrees, as verified by two other thermometers. Not a deal breaker, just be aware that it is a good idea to have more than one thermometer to monitor the tank water.

Happy tortoise approved
Frank’s previous ceramic bulb had a swiffer incident. Apparently a split second is all it takes for a room to smell like burnt plastic… Anyways, trauma in the past, he is now enjoying the warmth and comfort of his new ceramic bulb. So far it’s working great and providing the adequate heat that he needs to sleep his regular 18hrs a day, eat for an hour, wreck havoc, and take a few naps in between. As far as owner feedback, this was a great deal for two bulbs! Now I have a handy extra in case one of my other bulbs goes out or someone else gets a bit too close with the swiffer. The extra thermometer is a nice touch too. It’s nice to have backups.

Excellent!
I built an insulated dog house for my two border collies. I built a heat chamber under the elevated floor and installed two of these heat elements in it â¦.. wired it with a thermostat in the dog bed areaâ¦.. keeps the house constantly at 55 degrees. Best part about these elements is that they do not burn out

Didn’t kick off much heat
Works at they’re supposed to, I think I just got too low if a wattage. I have a ball python and I run this all day/night, a basking light all day, plus a small UVB light occasionally, and an under tank heating mat. I cover the majority of the tank top lock humidity and heat in. After all of this I can’t get the hot end of the tank to get above 80°, while it should be 90-95°. Not sure if these are not working very well which I suspect because I had a 60Watt before and it kept his tank cooking

They do not last long.
It worked well for a little while. I’ve only had it for just over a month and it started to burn a hole through the side of the metal piece and stopped working. The other one worked for about two weeks and burned out. Other than that ot worked well and did its job when it was working.

Very good! Perfect heat emission
Very happy, emits not light, and I have a happy bearded dragon! Great for night time, it wonât keep you awake, and keep your dragon warm and sleepy!

Perfect
The ceramic heat provides heat for the bearded dragon without the light at night and heats the hot side of the tank up during the day to 105 which is perfect for my baby bearded dragon. The thermometer included was a great addition so I can monitor the cold side of the tank as well.

Great heat lamp.
Works prefect to keep my older Polish show rabbit warm during the colder parts of a Michigan winter. He loves and I donât have to worry about my barn of show rabbit burning down.

Cheap and effective so far. Time will tell. Using in incubator and brooder. been banged around and water abused. No hesitation ordering again. Chicks need light though. only good for incubator

They sent me with only 1 working bulb.. Other than that it works heating my discoid roach colony.

They both got warm when I installed them. The next day I checked and 1 was already dead 24 hrs later, then the 2nd bulb died in 3 days. If you need reliable heat for your creatures then these are probably not the best choice!

When we received this it was packed in a brown bag. For bulbs that surprised me. When i opened the bag the box was dented⦠figured since it was shipped in a bag. When opening up the box the bulbs seemed to be in great shape. But they rattled. My heart sunk as this was a replacement for a bulb already blown. So my gecko was colder than usual. I put one in and surprisingly it got hot. So i checked the other bulb. It got hot. Thankfully. However. The next day i went to check on my gecko and noticed it wasnt hot. So i checked the switch, plug, unscrewed the bulb, plugged it back in and it got hot again⦠checked an hour later, cold⦠so i switched bulbs. So far ok. The 2nd bulb is going strong. I was going to reach out to the seller but there isnt an option. Only an option to return item. Ugh. So I just wanted to ensure everyone had all the info before buying. I believe these bulbs were damaged because of insufficient packaging. Fingers crossed the 2nd one holds out ok.
