Do wild captive worms eat ?
Would love to know how to get my night crawlers to eat ⦠food just sits there as the worms get skinny.

Seems good.
Worms seem to eat it. I won’t.

The worms like it .
I only see one problem . The worms are going to it more than the scraps I put out . So I move to sprinkling my scraps with this stuff . It is popular amongst the worms!!!

I think I have weird worms that won’t eat from the surface………..
I bought this in the fall to “beef up” the size of the worms in my mixed population indoor worm bin as well as increase reproduction rate so I’d have enough for my Axolotl through the winter when I can’t dig worms from my garden. I got the product, sprinkled it on top of the worm bedding for over a week , as the included instructions stated and as I’d read when researching the product online before ordering. I saw zero activity (tried it both wet and dry). As far as I could tell, the worms weren’t eating any of it, it went totally undisturbed. I gave that up and started mixing it into the kitchen scraps and cardboard bits, which was their diet before, and buried the mixture a few inches into the bedding as I’ve always done. That seemed to be the answer and it wasn’t long and I started noticing a marked increase in reproduction. Now, when I don’t have enough scraps, I moisten this into an oatmeal consistency, bury it and they eat it right up. They still won’t eat it off the surface, though. I see holes so I know they’re checking it out, but they don’t eat it. WEIRD! I haven’t been using it long enough, yet, to know for sure if the size of the mature worms will also be increased, but judging from the jump in reproduction, I’m feeling pretty confident. I will try to remember to update, one way or the other, when I can tell for sure. In the meantime, from what I’ve seen so far, I’m happy with the product.

Worm Approved
Worm approved!! My red wigglers were living on mostly bell peppers because it seemed those are the only food they eat that doesnât end in mites. I donât know what the deal is with that but Iâve had issues with mites since I started composting with worms. I havenât used this but once, however after sprinkling some on top of their environment the next day they were all over it. Will likely definitely purchase again and will be my new go to for feeding my worms.

Worm Buffet
Sprinkle lightly over entire top of the beddng and lightly dampened as instructions said before leaving in the morning.Upon returning that evening I checked on the worms- You couldn’t even see the bedding The entire surface was covered with worms! I did not know I had so many LOL.After a few days, there was no evidence of the worm food A couple of days after that I gave them some more. After just a few hours it was the same scenario all over again.Apparently they love it! Maybe they will be happier worms and make even more babies!!!I have to recommend!

Used with vermicompost
I started worm composting this year. I purchased this product as I am new to vermicomposting worms and wanted to be sure worms were being fed something appropriate as I learned. What I didnât like was when the moisture in my composter caused this food to clump. Feeding the worms is easy with a mixture of scrap greens and cardboard. I plan to sprinkle this worm food in my outdoor compost bin instead.
