This rat bed is absolutely adorable. It is made of real wood, with cute decorative cutouts. The wood is substantially thick, so it will last a while. The bed is the right size for an adult rat to lay comfortably on, or in our case, two rats who insist they both fit on it together. The pad it came with is very soft, and it serves its purpose well. I think itâs a great value for how cute and well made it is.

Easily the cutest thing in my cage set up.The bed is untreated wood, sturdy like an IKEA doll bed and the cushion is nice and fluffy. Now your mileage may vary but my two ripped the bed to shreds and used it for bedding after only a couple of days.The bed is still adorable without and I love seeing them sit in it.The mounting hardware was easy to use so you have the option of putting it high up like a shelf/perch, which is what I did.Or you can place it on the ground floor of your cage and let them move it around as they wish.Iâd recommend this for Degus (remove the cushion), smaller rats, hamsters and mice.Keep in mind that big male rats donât fit well, itâs more of a chair for my guy than a bed.
