Customers say
Customers find this bird feeder to be a good quality platform tray that attracts lots of birds, with the bottom being easily removable for cleaning. They appreciate its size, being big enough for doves and multiple wrens, and consider it good value for money. The build quality is positive, though durability receives mixed feedback – while some say it lasts through winters, others report it falling apart.

Great bird feeder
Works great! The birds like it, it holds a lot of food, and seems very sturdy. Has held up well to the snow and high winds we’ve had this winter. And the price is reasonable for the quality. Only downside is that it’s not squirrel proof but a squirrel baffle fixes that problem. Definitely recommend this if you enjoy watching birds.

Birds Happy – Iâm Happy!
Wonderful product – excellent construction – works exactly as I hoped – a lot less expensive than a brand name bird feeder and works just as well with out the roof!

SEE BEAR EDIT
EDIT: well, what better review can I share… it survived a bear incident! LOL Seriously, I’ve seen yearlings climb the post and sit on top to grab the feeders, so all they had to do is lean over and eat off of this like a plate — a bear buffet. Anyhoo, the birds love this feeder, and ordering a second one since I have to re-do the hooks and tube feeders anyway. I still HIGHLY recommend this feeder even if you’re not wanting to please the local bruins. Oh, and the metal red barn feeders have survived three attacks, so I also highly recommend those if you can find them! The bears came early this year; otherwise, we pull the feeders at night. It’s not good to have bears or most wildlife used to easy food so close to property. Our birds are spoiled with my homemade suet, and it’s a pain to shape them into blocks for normal bird feeders so I like to spoon out clumps onto a tray feeder instead. This is a GREAT feeder!! Our old one lasted at least five years but finally fell apart, and I’m glad to find this one because it’s larger and the insert seems sturdier. It’ll also be easy to hose off the insert, wash under hot water or use a scrub bruch when it clogs. Our woodpeckers, blue jays, cardinals and even the itty bitty wrens and finches will love it!

Great for larger birds
These feeders are great for the doves and larger birds; however, they are a pain to clean since the larger birds do their thing and make a mess. The bottom plastic screen (easy to clean since it comes out) does keep the larger bird seed (like the sunflower seeds) from falling through, but if the bird seed has smaller seed, then it goes right through and of course falls to the ground (for me it’s my flower beds) and the seed will burst into what I call “weeds” but obviously it is probably millet sprouts. So I may have to invest in a “seed catcher” that I’ve seen on Amazon, clean the feeder and try again.

Great value and size for multiple birds
This is a well made cedar wood (which resists rot) bird feeder. The plastic grid on the inside is removable and you can pop it out to clean it! Grid allows drainage of rain water too. Multiple birds can fit at one time. I would recommend as this is superior to the higher priced feeders I have had!I did not rate “durability” as I have just had it a couple of months. So far, it shows no signs of wear.

Simple and functional
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great simple feeder. We are mourning dove fans and this is their favorite as they can sit comfortably in it . Have had it several months at very busy feeding area, has held up well . Just a simple easy feeder.Â

Small seeds fall through the holes but it’s OK for bread, sunflower seed, suet pellets and nuts. A good sturdy built item and easy to clean and looks lovely hanging in the tree. I use it for nuts for the squirrels. I like it and so do the larger birds and my tame squirrel. Good value for money. A good size.

The wood seems to be good quality, but I do not recommend getting it if you live in a high humidity/rainy climate. Fungi starts growing after a few days of rain and becomes a health hazard for the birds, so I had to take them down for cleaning and the wood was rotting away. I applied some wood finish to attempt preventing this from happening again but I guess it was too late. Eventually I threw it away because it became annoying having to constantly remove the mold and I was concerned for the birds, I do not think it even lasted a year.
