I’ve been using this zero-waste wild-bird seed for many years and the birds really love it. It attracts cardinals, finches, jays, red-wing black birds, chicadees, doves, juncos and grackles. Some birds rummage through it to find all of the nuts and dried fruit. But any sunflower seeds they throw out of the feeder are quickly eaten by the ground-feeding birds such as doves, juncos and others, as well as squirrels and chipmunks. Nothing is wasted and there are no messy hulls left on the ground below my feeders.

This brings so many different birds to our backyard and I love it! The squirrels and even deer love it too which makes us go through it pretty quick but totally worth it.

So many finches. They love this food.
There is a lot less waste with this food than others I have tried. An occasional peanut hits the ground, but the squirrels are more than happy to catch those. ð

No Waste doesnât mean zero weeds…..
The fact that these seeds do indeed produce weeds underneath the bird feeders is the only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. I partially solved the problem by laying out 2 bags of pea gravel underneath the feeders and that helped somewhat. However, still have a few weeds making their way thru the pea gravel. While the birds absolutely love these seeds I need to go back to a more expensive brand of no waste/no WEEDs type of birdseed.
