Sizzle N’ Heat is premium hot blend wild bird food designed for BIRDS ONLY. It will effectively deter most squirrels.

Works well on squirrels and fairly well on raccoons
We bought this to keep the raccoons out of the bird feeders, and it works pretty well. Some, most, raccoons still try, but they take a bite or two and turn away. (One literally threw himself/herself off the feeder so that one must have gotten a really hot bite.) There is one raccoon, however, who seems impervious to the sizzle, so itâs not 100% effective, but at least now itâs one raccoon vs the dozen we had before. The squirrels really donât like it. The birds, however, love it which was my biggest concern. The package came well wrapped with no spillage.

Bird seed
I always order this bird food because it keeps away the squirrels and deerâ¦. the last 2 bags I received have not been working???? The squirrels and chipmunks have been eating it??? Iâm supposed to have more delivered on Saturday, I sure hope this bag is normal!! If it doesnât work, the company selling it should be notified!!!

I use it exclusively as is and will mix it in other blends, too. The birds don’t notice, the don’t have many taste “buds”, squirrels do.

Over time, the critters adapt to the spice
You pay a lot more for the hot pepper treatment, so I was initially pleased the first time I bought this. It seemed to work. Alas, the squirrels and chipmunks adapted, and now they eat this without hesitation. For that reason, I will not be buying it again. The birds love it, but if the other critters love it too, what is the point?

Best solution to fend off squirrels!
The best solution to solve squirrels eating bird food! Weâve tried almost everything out there, the cone, oil the feeder stick, bought the feeders squirrels too heavy to access the bird food, nothing worked until this spicy bird food came along! Weâve been using this for over a year now and squirrels are absolutely hating it lol. Highly recommend!!
