Easy to work with sensors
These sensors were easy to set up and worked well. Connectivity was solid. I did buy a humidor calibration pack to get them all calibrated the same. I used these to monitor my Brie cheese tubs to grow the white mold. and make sure they stayed in the 85-90% humidity range and 55f temperature. I bought 3 others too. Best of all they use normal batteries!

Slightly cumbersome setup, reliable afterward
Overall I’m happy with this sensor package. During the warmer months of the year we like to cool the house naturally as much as possible, by opening the windows when it’s cool outside and closing them when it’s warm. To do this it’s important to have information on whether the inside is currently warmer than the outside or not. This can vary from room to room, so it’s nice to have data available from different parts of the house. This product offers three individual sensors connected to a central hub, all for a very reasonable price.The setup process had a few hiccups. Primary among these was that if I paired a sensor with my account all on its own, the button in the app to then connect that sensor to the WiFi hub didn’t work properly. I was able to get them all connected by first removing the individual connection to the sensor and then reconnecting it directly from the hub’s part of the app.I will also say the default alarm settings for these sensors is a bit aggressive. You’ll start hearing a loud beeping from the hub unit if any sensors have the temperature/humidity readings go outside of a certain pre-programmed range, or even if one of the sensors experiences a momentary interruption in communication. I pretty much never want to hear such a jarring audible alarm from these sensorsâmaybe if the temperature was high enough the house is likely on fire, but never beyond that.It took a little while to get everything connected properly and most of the alarms deactivated, but once I did that these seem like solid little sensors. I might even pick up a few more so we can get data from more of the rooms in the house.

Sensor batteries die very quickly
I received low battery alerts for all sensors within a matter of a few days, which is this very very loud beeping. It would often go off in the middle of the night and wakes us up. I changed the batteries thinking they were a bad batch, but same thing happened. This makes this system useless to me. I’ll be buying something else.Also, putting the sensors side by side shows a difference in humidity levels of about 5-7%. Which one is accurate?Lastly, not a big deal, but the sensors don’t have ID’s. They connect to the app all with the same name, so you have to figure out which one is which.I do not recommend.

Accurate, Home Assistant compatible, and easy to setup
These are accurate, or at least consistent with other sensors I have when overlayed together. The best part is the sensors are Bluetooth and pair to Home Assistant directly without even using the wifi bridge, using ESP Bluetooth proxy in my case (all local). Battery life is unknown at this point but they are quoted to do 9 months on the box and crucially use AAA versus a lithium battery. Since they use AAA, they are sized as you’d expect versus a sensor that uses a coin lithium. They include a lanyard if you want to hang from a hook versus setting on a shelf or using double-sided tape (can remove cover to replace battery while back remains). The fitment of the battery cover feels tight enough that it could easily handle high air moisture environments long term. Nothing at all bad to say and a great addition to my smart home device array.My review is based on the home assistant integration, which took zero setup (remove tab from battery, home assistant picked up as new device). They remained paired without any drops or resets needed for the week I tested before my review.

This would be a 5 star product if Inkbird had the foresight to include temperature sensing IN THE HUB! Seriously -how hard could that be. Given the product description I expected 4 data points. Nope. I ended up ordering a couple more of the remote sensors. They are a nice (small) discrete size. Documentation is weak as well with no explanation for some settings. If I bought the system again I might give it 4 stars as I wouldnât be as annoyed – knowing what I would be getting.

Great for Monitoring Greenhouse Temps â Wish It Had a Base Station
I got this hygrometer thermometer to help keep an eye on temperatures in my greenhouse and garden. I was especially concerned about it getting too hot in the greenhouse.Setting it up and using the app was simple, and placing the sensors around the garden was easy. Now I have a reliable way to monitor the temperature in different areas.My only wish is that it had a dedicated base station instead of relying on my phone to check the readings. Still, itâs a handy tool thatâs helped me keep my plants happy.
