Designed to fit under your saddle and over your horse’s withers to effectively redistribute the rider’s weight along your horse’s back. Remarkable results can be seen when you move your weight away from directly pushing down on your horse’s shoulders. Leads come more easily, increased blood flow, your horse tires less quickly, etc. This felt pad enhancer is made from the finest, needled, “Absorber” felt and can hold up to four times its weight in moisture, yet it dries quickly and is easy to clean with soap and water. 1″ thick felt on each side and comes with nylon placement straps. Colors may vary. Size: 11″ L x 8 1/2″ W on each side connected by 1-1/2″ web straps

Customers say
Customers find the wither pad works well for horses with high withers, helping to lift the pommel, and appreciate its quality, fit, comfort, and durability. Moreover, they like its mobility, with one customer noting it can be moved wherever needed. However, the thickness and pressure point aspects receive mixed feedback.

Awesome!
Very nice quality. I like that itâs solid felt as opposed to the squishy foam type. This seems like it will last much longer than the foam type, in my experience the other ones wear down and stay flat after a while. This being solid felt feels like it holds its shape much better while still being soft enough to shape to your horse. Since it doesnât squish down as much as the other style if you only need that little bit of added padding I would try to find a thinner one. My boy however has very high withers with a beefy shoulder. Fitting saddles for him to not have pressure on his withers bas been next to impossible, and the built up saddle pads never have padding in the right spot. This fixes that problem. It fills in the gaps by his withers and can be moved wherever you need it. I can tell he is much more comfortable riding now, he moves much more freely and happily on our trail rides.

Wither pad, game changer!
I bought this awhile ago and finally used it today for the first time. I feel like it made a big difference for my horse. He seemed to move better and had more pep in his step. Happy with the quality. It’s thick and dense and doesn’t seem like it’s going to compress right away. The size was great too, it really gave the saddle a nice place to rest on and didn’t moved using the ride. I should have been using this all along.

THICK but definitely does the job
This riser is very thick. Arguably coed 1â. However, it worked beautifully for my saddle. It is long, as you can see from the pics, but that eliminated any pressure points. My horseâs back is impossible to fit, but this got my saddle fitting pretty darn well. It also didnât slip at all while riding. If itâs too thick or long, it seems like it would be fairly easy to trim down to a smaller size if needed. I highly recommend!

super thick
This shim is super thick. may work well for the right person and it is good quality however i felt it put more pressure on her shoulders rather than relieved pressure. She was more constricted with it on than without it.
Beautiful dress and great quality. –
Great quality
Great fit for pony

Way too thick
I bought this for a downhill horse to have the saddle fit my level and it’s way too thick. It’s about an 1″ thick of very dense felt. This would be better for an older horse with a lot of muscle wasting behind the withers.
