Really nice leather. Could use a good oiling right out of the packaging, but I didn’t bother and it’s holding up great, it’s not stiff at all, super easy to get through buckles (if you’ve ever owned a really really stiff bridle, you know what I mean!) It definitely has a red tone but I don’t know if I would call it burgundy.The best thing is how well it fits a large range of horses. On the first hole, it fits my quarter pony’s little tiny head. That’s after I attached bit snaps to the ends! I’m really pleased, I always have to punch holes in everything for him and I didn’t have to this time. And if I removed the snaps it would definitely fit a smaller pony with a more refined head. On the last hole, it fits my trainer’s big thoroughbreds.I highly recommend adding bit snaps, it’s already such a great versatile bridle and the snaps make it even better & more convenient. Especially if you ride more than one horse, or if you want to try different bits to see what your horse likes. Totally worth the money!

Another great weaver product, I love their line. It fit my quarter horse just perfect, then I can take it off and use on my sons pony with no issues. I punched and extra hole on each side and good to go. Soft right out the package same as other weaver products I’ve purchased, no need to really break in their merchandise.
