I kept trying different types of brushes for my boy. I found this good sturdy brush that collect all hair removal making it easy.

Ohhh.. This is nice!!!
The first words out of my mouth after opening the package. “Oh, this is nice!” Repeated MANY times as I tested it on my Goldens. I interpret my Goldens’ immediate rolling into his back as agreement.The bristles are very stiff, unlike the other in brushes available for the same price or more. The double bristles definitely make a difference. It almost feels like a long pinned slicker but without the deshedding effect.And the base they’re attached to is firm enough to not decrease efficacy but soft enough for cleaning. The plastic bristles are good and stiff allowing for a detailed finishing touch.Handle is pleasant in the hand without over done ergonomics.Up until now I very much avoided metal pinned brushes. And plastic bristle paddle brushes as nothing delivered performance as expected. We relied on quality ConAir vent brushes which are still out go-to form post-bath drying.Without looking at the price I’d guess it cost 3x to 4x actual price.If it’s longevity is anything like the quality of grooming it provides then it’ll be my go-to brush for A LONG time. Time to pick up a couple more to have around the house.Warning:. My review is based upon it’s use with 2 Goldens and a Bernese Mountain Dog. This isn’t a brush I’d recommend for a short to medium coat. The bristles will definitely irritate the skin and are overkill for most breeds.But it’s stiffness allows the groomer to apply varying levels of pressure for different desired effects. But one can apply too much pressure or pull to hard. Be cognizant of how you use it.I’ve always liked Wahl grooming products for humans and was surprised to see that they have a line for pets. The quality didn’t disappoint.Well worth the $10.

Good brush, loses wire pins too easily
This is overall a good brush. The metal pin side does a great job in removing grass seeds and other such items. The handle feels good in my hand. My only problem with it is that the pins tend to fall out. Will probably need a new brush before long.

Miracle carpet pet hair remover
I got this for brushing my dogs, and it’s fine for that. It runs through fur more gently than a Furminator but doesn’t get fur out as quickly and is a bit of a pain to then pull the hair out of the brush. For this style of brush, it’s every bit as good as expected. But what I like most about this is that the black side is unbelievably good at getting pet hair out of carpet. Your carpet may look clean, but then you brush this across and it pulls up all kinds of hair you wouldn’t have even noticed. The hair sticks into the brush so you can rapidly get tons of hair out of your carpet. For this alone, the brush deserves 5 stars.

Decent Brush
Works well on the long, thick coats of my Aussie and Shepherd/Husky mix. Quality is just okay. One of the pins fell out the first time I used the brush and the ink of the Wahl logo on the handle smeared off partially when I used it on a hot day. Neither is a big deal to me but still a bit annoying for a brand new item. This is a good product overall, but if you can find a better deal on another brush that’s similar, I don’t think this one is necessarily worth paying more for.

So far, the best
We currently have 3 dogs, a Border and 2 Paps, and that’s a lot of hair and undercoat. Now in my 80’s, the only time I have been without a dog was during a month of training, followed by a year in Vietnam. The best brush lasted 30+ years, one piece, solid wood, all pins and the pad are still in place and the brush continues to work fine. I can’t recall which pet or pet’s chewed on the handle, or when the pins began to rust, but has become unuseable and the manufacturer’s name has worn off. Quite a few purchases were poorly constructed, and broke. The undercat on our Border Collie is thick and resistant. So far this Wahl seems to be the answer to my search. The plastic handle is edged with a rubberized grip that increases purchase, while swelling to fill your palm. The handle, as it approaches the brush and pins, narrows into a pinching-like area where the rubberized edging expands on both sides and adds serrations to provide the best handle that I have found, period. The brush bristles seem slightly stiffer than others I have tried (a positive), and the ball-tipped pins seem well set in their pad and holding up just fine on Skye’s resistant undercoat. This brush feels very solid, with an excellent grip, and is a steal at this price.
