    All Edible & High Quality
Excellent quality. Contains lots of fruit so if the bird’s diet isn’t so fruitful, this is a great seed. It’s great to alternate anyway, as I do with Volkman seed – my seed of choice. Thank you.

Perfect for GCC! Got everything what parrot needs.
Omg, this food is amazing. Just what my GCC needs to eat daily. Absolutely easy to serve and will be buying this from now on. I mix this with parrot seed (no sunflower seed in it). Always change food everyday to add new food. I don’t have to chop fresh food anymore, this product pretty much has everything just what your parrot needs. Highly recommend. Just to let you know that my GCC would not touch or eat this, even it’s on his daily food for a week. Now that’s his favorite food.

    Very happy with the quality
I didn’t expect my African Grey to like this right off the bat, but she did! It has a very nice mixture of seeds, nuts, fruit, pasta…definitely not a boring meal for your feathered friend!I also gave it to another Grey whom I was bird sitting temporarily and she liked it too – quite a bit actually. When this bag is gone, I will buy again.

    Quality Product – Good Choice
I have a 9-year-old CAG (Congo African Grey) who is a picky eater. On a scale of one to five, five being the most extreme, he would be a four. The first time I served this to him he picked through it but ate quite a bit. Yesterday I made him a serving and he ate almost all of it. He still tossed out a few things (the banana) and something else I’m not sure quite of, but I was shocked when I looked in the bowl and most of it was gone. He stayed at the bowl for about 20 min. which is unusual. A serving for him was about 3 tablespoons (dry), which after soaking puffs up to much more. The quality is excellent and is obviously fresh with NO dust. I am keeping mine in the fridge, per recommendations. I boiled water in my kettle, then poured over food, and covered with foil. I soaked it for 20 min. The pasta was still somewhat hard (not totally) but the rest was soft and looked very tasty. So far I am impressed with this formula and will definitely purchase again. I was expecting my grey to turn his beak up at this but am pleasantly surprised to find he appears to really like it. Yay! Packaging is excellent and the bag has a zip-lock top so it’s easy to close it back up and stick it in the door of the fridge. If you have a picky eater, this may be a good choice for you. If you don’t have a picky eater, this will definitely be a regular staple in your house for your feathered friends.

    Perfect food for my Eclectus!
This is perfect for Eclectus species who are very sensitive to added vitamins which cause toxicity shown in toe tapping. This being a natural blend gives my bird just the perfect amount of varied nutrients without the overbearing additives.

Got my Parrotlet to Eat it!
My 5 month old Parrotlet finally accepted this mix and now seems to enjoy it. I had to deduct 1 Star because the 15 Minute Soak is a little off. While maybe other species with larger bills can smash through wood, cardboard and (in this instance) softened yet still hard food, my little guy just doesn’t have the power to get through undercooked food which is not properly softened (even though he thinks hes a macaw). When supplied with “used as directed” my bird would mouth it, find that he couldn’t crack it and spat it out losing interest in the process. What worked for me. Luckily a little bit of food goes a long way with him so by actually cooking it, I was able to get him to try it again. It seems as though birds need to quickly identify if something in their mouth is food. If its soft, they detect the outer “shell” breaking open and something “nut/seed/berry meat” pops into their mouth. I think this is a signal of “hey, this is food” so they continue to remain interested and eat. Lots of resistance with little to no cracking forces them to continue on. Breaking the pieces into smaller parts can also help. I may even try a mini chopper to get an even consistency before cooking. I placed 2 tablespoons or so into a dish with water to cover and microwaved it at 2-3 min intervals then let it sit for 1-2 min in between cooking. Letting it sit helped it absorb the water before the next cook and it allowed me to find a good texture before it turned to mush. Once its at the right cook, a few ice cubes in the bowl stopped the cooking process. Pour off the excess liquid and your good to go. Now some people may complain about the cook time but I for one, want my guy eating something different and second, I did this while cooking the family dinner. To me, its no big deal and I had leftovers to keep in the fridge for the next day. This is a 2-3 times per week feeding.Other last tips: I placed my spread onto a flat surface/plate instead of a bowl and sprinkled a few of his seed/pellets on top to attract him. With the food all splayed out, he could pick out what he liked then begin to try other new and exciting tastes. It’s very neat to watch him come up for air with food all over his beak.

Love the product but hate the price
My bird loves this product. She is an African Grey and a very picky eater. She eats it every morning. I add oatmeal, banana and pretty bird pellets to it to insure she is getting the vitamins she needs. This product is hard to find. Not many retailers carry it. Those who do have a much better price than what is on this site. At least $10 less per 4lb. Bag. I have purchased it at other sites. The problem has become shipping charges. They are so high that it doesn’t make sense to purchase from other sites when the shipping at Amazon is free. I reluctantly purchase from this seller because of the inflated price but feel I don’t have a choice. The product is great and easy to serve.

    Toxic Ingredients!!!
The ingredients were not listed on this or I never would have bought it!! I don’t know why you need to put artificial petroleum based food dyes in this but those ingredients are toxic to pets as well as humans! When I purchased this it stated that I could return if needed and now that I need to I’m being told it’s not eligible for returns. Very disappointed in this purchase I’m now stuck with!
