Very small
These clips look like the pics but they are very small. I bought them to hold the exo terra screen cover on a tank to keep a baby snake from getting out. The clips are too small to affix to the tank & clip over the lid. If I affix to tank they will not reach far enough to close. When I hung them on the sides of the lid as they should be when they are in use holding the top closed, I could see that the sticky part would be on both the plastic rim of the tank & the tank glass, but they cannot actually stick to those places simultaneously.I have other types of reptile tanks that I tried these on, just to see which type they do fit on, but none of them work. They’re just too small.At least they are inexpensive!

Excellent for Frameless Tanks
I’m using these clips with the custom built screen tops I created for my frameless tanks. They work very well for this purpose and the adhesive is holding up well.

Just what I needed
I have a screened top reptile tank and frequently worry that my pets will push up the screen and escape their terrarium. Adding these to the top allows me to ensure that my pets are safe. The adhesive holds well and the clips are very easy to install.

Really really really bad
I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I really felt the need to explain WHY these clips are so bad.I originally got them for a slant top enclosure, and they blatantly didn’t workNo big deal, probably made for something smaller with a flat topI put them on a 10 Gallon terrarium for invertibrates and my BUGS were still able to press on the lid and get the clips to fallIt takes no pressure for them to imedielty fall all the way backwards. A stiff breeze would probably do them in.Just get some adhesive cabinet locks for cheaper.

I got these thinking they were spring loaded or snap shut, admittedly I was disappointed.However, they actually worked out perfect. I am not using them as they are supposed to be, i.e. As lid locks.I have used them as feeding hatches for my aquarium….. The fish have a habit of jumping out the feeding holes cut into the lid, these clips perfectly fit.Absolutely recommend these

Place the “L” shaped piece of plastic over the lid and press down on the locking lever to………..lock it in place. It is as simple as that and renders your vivarium escape proof – unless the inmates get outside help.
