Healthy teeth
My 16 year old cat has bad teeth. I was looking for a good additive for his water to help. The vet told me to look for a brand that is VOHC approved. I found this one and I can tell a difference after only 2 months of use. He was having a hard time eating because of his teeth, but now he’s eating with gusto! It has no smell at all and is clear. It comes with a handy measuring cup so you know how much to add to the water bowl based on the size. Super easy! The quality seems to be really good, as none of the cats or dogs has any issue drinking the water. One thing to note is if you’re using a fountain you need to remove the charcoal filter or it can filter out the Vetradent.

Seems to be working. Added to their water.
Vet recommended for my sonâs cats. Theyâre 8 now & getting tartar buildup. Itâs the same as the one the Vet sells – didnât ask their price but Iâm pretty sure itâs more expensive at the Vetâs office. Wish Iâd known about it sooner- would have started them on it. Read the reviews & they suggested not using as much as the directions say. So far seems to be helping. Dental costs are pretty high – this is helping.

Terrible value but a great product
Absolutely a five star product if it were not for the price. In total, I have 200 pounds of dogs. Thatâs four standard Goldendoodles and one teeny tiny little poodle. This water additive cleaned their mouths right up, but only lasted for one week! Absolutely unacceptable. So I will not be buying this again. I have found many other comparable products on Amazon at much better prices and I will be choosing from amongst those. Per the ingredients, there is no reason for this higher inflated price, except that people will pay it.

The good stuff!!
I didnât think my dog would want to drink his water with this added in, but honestly he seems to like it!! And Iâve been using this in combination with the wipes & the plaque on his teeth is starting to soften cuz I was able to pick a chunk off

Really does work great on my pets
This works great. My older dogs teeth were so bad, wish I would have got this so much sooner. My new dogs teeth are great, no need to get them cleaned! I have been using this for over 1 year. Should have this for humans

Slimy but worth it
My vet recommended this for my 17 year old cat with dental disease. She canât go under so this is the only thing we can do to prevent any other illness.I gave it a 3 star review because:1. My cat did drink it!2. It made her breath smell so much better3. My vet said she had been using this on her own cats for decadesHowever, it did have some problems.I give her water through a fountain. Donât put this in a fountain! Iâm going to have to figure something out for this product. The fountain got insanely slimy after only 2 days of very minimal use. The white gunk is after 2 days. I went on vacation, cleaned it before I left, and when I got back 4 days later, there was pink bacteria ALL OVER IT. The slime allowed the water to be more habitable to bacteria and my cat has stopped drinking out of this fountain after one day of fresh water. She gets more water in it daily but with the product Iâve been replacing it ever other day or so just so we donât run through the product too fast by tossing it down the sink. But never in my life have I seen the fountain grow pink gunk. Ever. And weâre talking 17 years here.Absolutely use this product but be warned for fountain users. It may be good to have a fountain of fresh water with no vetradent and then a bowl with it. Overall itâs worth it for her health but you have to keep on top of water changes.Disclaimer: my cat has multiple water fountains and access to fresh water daily! This is the only fountain Iâve been using vetradent for to see how it would go.

Not Safe for Kitties!
I bought this give my cats but I wish I read the ingredients label first. This mixture contains potassium benzoate. This is toxic to cats. This product should NOT be advertised for use with felines. This is dangerous and the product makers should be ashamed. Very disappointed!”Potassium benzoate is considered toxic to cats, primarily because their liver metabolism cannot process it effectively, leading to potential health issues like allergic reactions and chronic illnesses with repeated exposure. While some sources suggest low concentrations in cat food might be tolerated, it’s best to avoid foods and dental products containing this preservative to prevent harm and to consult a veterinarian if your cat has been exposed. “

Easy to add to a bowl of water
As far I can tell this is working on my catâs teeth. She prefers drinking this from a bowl over her water fountain.
