Seems to be working!
I’ve been using this for my cat for almost a month now and so far it does seem to be working. Due to his PU surgery and crystalsin his urine, I have to put a lot of water in his food. The water helps reduce the crystals, but it also seems to have made his bm’s too soft to clear his anal glands. Knock on wood, it’s been much better since we started this. I mix it in his wet food and he slurps it right down. Thanks for this product!

Eliminates butt odor from anal glands
Since I got my cats as 7 week olds, their butts started smelling at 12 weeks. It was always when they were petted and purring happily. It got so bad that one of them even dripped a spot of smelly butt juice. 𤢠I took them to the vet at 2 months to have their anal glands expressed (that last almost 2 months). Then when they were neutered at 6 months, their glands were again expressed. I used odor eliminators on furniture and washed bedding wherever they would smell up those areas from their butts. I mean, I could not discontinue providing love and care by petting them and letting them cuddle with me. They would grow to be less affectionate and less social. So, I dealt with this smelly butt issue for quite a while, which I thought was just a dog thing (my friend has labs that need their anal glands expressed once every 2 months). I probably spent a little over $200 to try to resolve the issue on them without a remedy in sight. I even tried changing up their diet, which was at first a high protein, no grain dry kibble with some actual chicken meat once in a while. Tried Nutri-Source dry kibble for sensitive tummies in kitties which although somewhat grain free had brown rice in there. I know what rice does to me on a long eating stance and was concerned my young cats would become overweight so I weaned them off that and back to their grain free dry kibble (now indoor adult food from the Basic Blue brand). Now onto this magical powder. I did my sleuthing again (they are at this time 9 months old), seeing what else was out there, hoping others had experienced what I am experiencing with my kitties and found a solution. I found this powder on Amazon. A person once told me that it could be they need more fiber. I had been giving them some fiber powder before for a while but it did nothing. So when I saw this powder, I wasnât sure it would resolve their anal gland issues, but I was desperate to try. I gave them half of the amount instructed on the jar. It was easy to have one of them lap it up with a mix of low sodium chicken juice in a small saucer, but the other one was picky as ever and refused. So, I got creative, bought an inexpensive matcha whisk to break down the powder better in a small bowl to mix with the chicken juice. I then pour the contents in a kitty saucer and then add a small dollop (thumb size) of shredded chicken from a can. Has not once failed me and they both lap up the juice and then eat the shredded chicken. I have been doing this for almost 2 months and no longer have to deal with stinky butts. The stuff started working in less than a few days. I noticed after a month that they still are stinky free, even if I miss a day or two giving them this powder.I would recommend if when giving your cat the full half dose that you give them half of that half, if your cat still wonât drink up liquid and finely broken down powder (or if the powder is not looking as brown down and dissolved in liquid to do what I did and get a bamboo matcha whisk). I continued to give my cats half of a half and it is still enough to resolve their stinky butt issues. They will be a year old 3 weeks.

Happily recommended, healthy cats!
Our veterinarian recommended this product and our cats love the flavor. One small scoop has become part of their daily diet and is mixed into their morning canned food.

Cat doesn’t like smell
I was really hoping this product would work for my cat. Before I ordered that I was using by the same maker the one for both dog and cat(cats get 1/2 the dose dogs receive), it was a beef liver flavor and she tolerated it well. Unfortunately, this tuna flavored for cats she refuses. From 4 feet away, she caught a whiff of it, and she would have nothing to do with it, no matter what I put it in. I cant use it. She eats other treats and cat food with tuna and does well. It would be helpful if for the cat only product they made one of beef liver. On the positive side, the same product for cats & dogs (beef liver) is effective for anal gland issues.

Usually good. But Iâll buy it from Chewy next time.
Be advised that you canât return this product if you have a problem. Although the product in general has been effective and my cat likes it very much, this item (lot# 5FTP001)was very different. My cat wouldnât eat it or food that touched at all. Iâm sorry I canât return it so that theyâll could identify the problem. I bought it from another source, and with a different lot number, and he loves it again!

Maybe works too well!
My kitty seems to be having issues expressing her glands on her own. Decided to try this fiber supplement on recommendation from her vet. She is not licking abnormally anymore, BUT the litter box is overloaded! I think it is causing her to drink more water also as the urine volume in the box has increased also. So make sure kitty has plenty of fresh water around cause this supplement seems to make my kitty more thirsty. Most important is that kitty is comfortable again!

Before buying this my cats recently have been booting and leaving a mess Iâd have to clean up and one of my cats poop was smelling a little bit foul. I did my research so I bought glandex to try it out and the first day I used it his poop did not smell bad ! They havenât booted either. And they been more playful and happy. ! I definitely will buy this often moving forward. And switching up their food diet also has improved. I just mix the powder with wet food or dry and a bit of water and they love the taste of it. It has worked for me , it may not work for others but honestly give it a chance to know if this is what the problem is or not take your babies to the vet. All the best for your fur babies

My cat has been struggling with recurring anal gland issues, which, as any cat owner knows, is no fun for anyone! After several trips to the vet for expressed glands, I decided to try a supplement to see if it could help support healthier gland function. I’m so glad I did! This anal gland supplement has made a noticeable difference for my cat. Since starting him on it, he’s had far fewer issues. No more scooting, licking, or that awful fishy smell! He seems much more comfortable, and we’ve been able to avoid those frequent (and expensive) vet visits for gland expressions. The supplement itself is easy to administer. It comes in a powder form and I mix the powder into his dry food. I appreciate that it contains probiotics, fiber as well as digestive enzymes which seem to be contributing to his improved digestive health, which I understand is linked to anal gland health.Of course, every cat is different, and what works for one might not work for another. But if your cat is experiencing anal gland problems, I would definitely recommend talking to your vet about whether this supplement might be a good option. It’s been a game-changer for us, and I’m so relieved to see my cat comfortable and happy again. It’s definitely saved us both a lot of stress (and money!).

Works well if your cat has anal gland problems. Add correct amount for weight of cat into his/her breakfast or supper.

My cat is 13 and has bad anxiety and allergies, as well as being prone to sore glands and digestive issues. She’s been suffering all summer to the point where I asked her vet if there is anything I could try to help her be more comfortable. She recommended I give Glandex powder a try. So far my cat absolutely loves the taste. She eats mostly wet food and has never been one to clean her plate, but with this powder mixed in she licks it clean every time. Her sneezing has lessened and she has started to feel more comfortable around her backside region. No longer constantly licking her poor bum raw. I checked it today and it is pink and healthy! The probiotics seem to also help with her intestinal discomfort. She’s often constipated, probably because it hurts to pass her stool. It always came out in chunks, but now it is coming out as one glorious turd and the volume of her poops has increased by almost half. I love this product and so does she! I really wish my vet had recommended this year’s ago, so if you have a cat with any kind of digestive issues you should ask your vet if they would recommend it. Obviously you shouldn’t just put your cat on any fibre without consulting your vet because it could cause issues, but mine said it was safe. I’ll be buying this for the rest of her life and if I ever have another cat in the future it’s the first thing I’m going to discuss with the vet. It really seems to work!
