Update: I got a new bottle and it was like the old recipe again! Iâm assuming that I received a weak batch and it was a fluke. I am updating my review to 5 stars as I feel that this product has prolonged my dogâs life.I’ve been purchasing this product since August 2024, when my dog developed IMHA and struggled to produce iron. Initially, it was instrumental in her recovery. However, the past two bottles have been noticeably different in color and consistency, and unfortunately, they don’t seem to be as effective as the original formula. I’m certain that the recipe has changed. It used to be a rich dark, syrupy brown with a strong mint smell. Now itâs a light, clear tan, watery liquid. The past 2 months Iâve watched my dogs health decline. And I donât think itâs a coincidence. We rely heavily on this product, especially given our current financial situation of being laid off. I truly hope that the original recipe will be reinstated bc it was AMAZING. The old formula was a definite 5 star product. This one, is a 2 ð¢ ugh.Edit to add: This product does not come with a dropper as seen in the photo but it does come with a disposable eye dropper (thatâs not connected to the lid).

Best if mixed into wet food like dark tuna
A good product but my kitties don’t like the taste which isn’t unusual for a B-complex supplement. They accept it best in wet foods like Dave’s Tuna and Chicken, BFF Tuna & Salmon etc., and basically any tuna that’s dark and rich. Not the light tuna.

Best product for CRF and liver disease cats and dogs
This stuff is one of the most effective nutrition supplements for pets with severe liver and/or kidney disease. My 16 year-old cat suffers from liver cirrhosis since 3 years and the vets gave her 6 month. She had liver medication all the time,but suddenly stopped eating and I noticed pale mucous membranes resulting of an iron deficiency.Nutrived is a vitamin B supplement with iron and helped my cat regain her appetit immediately.As iron and vit B are essential pets with liver disease and CRF need it added to their food or simply have to have it orally in case they deny food.This product helped very fast, my cat is more active now and most important, eats by herself again.I highly recommend Nutrived.

SAVED MY CAT’S LIFE
I initially wrote this review back in 2010: This stuff is amazing! My cat was/is? in acute/chronic? renal failure and with numerous blood tests, she was becoming more and more anemic. Vets told me that was because of the renal failure – I believe it was because of blood loss due to the frequent and MANY blood tests. Regardless, my baby’s weight is back up to normal, she’s bright eyed and her coat has come in very lush and thick. She’s very happy and does not appear to be in any distress. I’m giving her a break and will re-test her blood sometime in Feb/March. I suspect she will no longer be anemic – she’s doing VERY WELL!UPDATE 2013:My silver persian had acute kidney failure because the vet gave her METACAM which is known and well documented to damage cat’s kidneys and put them in possible kidney failure. She went through numerous hospitalizations for IV therapy to flush out the poison, and so many blood tests. As I mentioned, the numerous blood tests are what I believe was causing her to be more and more anemic. I have anemia problems and iron always helped me, so I bought this stuff and gave it to her. I gave it to her as indicated for 2 months and she regained her strength and weight! Miracle product! With Divine Intervention, she is now no longer in kidney failure and is a happy, healthy girl! We tested her blood and urine 2x since 2010 when all this happened, and she is now completely within normal range, no more anemia!

Awesome stuff!
I started my CRF/anemic cat on this about a week ago and I can already tell he has increased appetite, is gaining weight and is eating most or all of his food. He has always been a large kitty but his weight had dropped from about 12 pounds to 7 and I was seriously afraid of losing him. On epakitin alone I could get him to finish about 1/4 or 1/2 can of food but now there are just bits and pieces left when he’s done and he is much more alert and energetic.
