Valley Farms is a family owned and operated wild bird food company based in Walden, NY. In 1968, our grandfather began a garden center called Farmer Jones. The family became passionate about local plants and wildlife of the Hudson Valley and in 1982, we started Valley Farms.

Great quality safflower seed and great customer service
I’ve been buying this safflower seed for outdoor mourning doves in addition to millet and other seeds. I found that the doves love this seed and that it’s high quality and grown from US farmers. I had a problem with one order due to a machinery issue on their side and they quickly made things right and we’re prompt, courteous, and had a strong sense of customer service. I highly recommend this seed.

Favorite food for so many birds including cardinals
I bought from this company because they are a small business. The food looks good. The price was not better than anyone else’s despite the larger size. The bag was not self closing as the smaller 5# bag I had bought from Wagner’s. I used the old velcro closing 5# bag I kept and emptied some of this big bag into it. Will I buy from them again? I guess it depends how well my birds finish this bag. If I don’t run out until spring, I won’t buy this big bag, but a 5# one.

Not as popular as the golden safflower seeds I had bought before but they will eat it! Definitely got rid of blackbirds that took over my feeders and ran all my little birds off. So happy with all seeds I have bought through Amazon!!
