Comfortable and fits well. Wanted something with a MIPS rating and this helmet is working well so far.

    Great fit and superior protection.
This is my first mips helmet. I wondered if it would fit any differently or if I’d have to size up. Nope and nope. I wouldn’t even know it was mips if it didn’t say so and have the yellow liner. The price isn’t that much higher than their non-mips model either. This looks bulky on me but is quite comfortable. It is more adjustable than my schooler helmet that says it fits 57 to 62 cm but I feel is nearly tight on me. This one says it fits 57-59 but I easily think it would accommodate as much as the other as it is more generous. It sits better on my head. I have to loose the knob to put my ponytail though, but it is nice to be able to have it off my neck as the schooler helmet would push my ponytail really low. The ponytail still needs to be low but not as low now.The color is a nice matte but fingerprints can easily show up. However, you can wet it and rub them off. It feels very durable and is certified by SEI. It was made about 6 months ago so should have a long life.I love this helmet. I even like how the chin strap can be tightened at various levels so you don’t always have to keep it snug. The visor is also a breakaway style or this can be used without it. The only small thing I don’t really like is that the straps by the ears don’t lay flat.I think this is a nice helmet and worth the investment.

    Works for Transportation Cycling, Too
I’ve used various helmets for riding my bicycle to do errands – urban style bike helmets, ski helmets, and equestrian helmets – depending on the ambient temperature, and how heavily I plan to exert.Helmets for different activities are tested to different standards. Equestrian helmets provide better protection from inpact with sharp objects, and better protection for the back of the head, than cycling helmets do. But they also have less ventilation, so can get too hot if you are working hard. Extending farther back on the head, and having a visor, they’re also not well suited for riding in the drops. For my use – doing errands by ebike – an equestrian helmet has enough ventilation on all but the hottest days. I don’t have much hair, so I also like sun protection, which you don’t get from a helmet with large vent openings. This helmet is the most comfortable of any helmet I’ve used. I think it’s mainly because the shape fits my oval (vs round)-shaped head. The padding is also comfortable, and strap adjustment is easy. A ratcheting dial on the headband at the back ensures a snug fit. I normally wear a size 58; the size M-L of this helmet feels like it was made for me.Note that this is a MIPS helmet, which makes it cost quite a bit more than the non-MIPS version of the same model. I have no idea how significant the difference in protection is in typical in real-life collisions, but it’s probably a good idea to get the best protection you can afford.Overall, for my use, this is a great helmet. I am really pleased with it.

    great helmet
I did not wear a helmet while scooting for a very long time. I know it’s bad and it’s unsafe but I just couldn’t be bothered but finally I realized how dumb I was being and jumped at the chance to try out this helmet. I thought it was great that this was specifically for people with long hair wearing ponytails! Even though I don’t wear helmets biking I wear helmets snowboarding and I know that not every helmet is comfortable so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, esp with MIPS since I had never tried it before. I was delighted to find out how comfortable this helmet is! I know it’s meant to be a horse helmet so I wondered how different it would be but honestly I think it’s perfect for biking and scooting. It’s really light weight.I was surprised at how much airflow there was as well. The fit was good and very adjustable. You can see the quality right away as well – it’s obviously well built and with that many adjustments you can get a good fit. It looks quite stylish too for a helmet at least. It’s obviously quite durable although I did read that if you have a bad fall you should replace your helmet even if it doesn’t look damaged. Overall a great value for the money because you can’t put a price on safety!

Superior Protection and Comfort That Gives Me Confidence in the Saddle!
I recently upgraded to the uvex exxential III MIPS helmet, and it has quickly become one of the best riding gear decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve always been cautious about safety, and this helmet’s combination of lightweight inmould construction and the advanced MIPS system gave me peace of mind right out of the box. The MIPS layer is designed to reduce rotational forces during angled impacts, and knowing I have that added protection makes me feel much more secure while riding. What really stood out to me, though, was how comfortable the fit is—the adjustable inner shell allows me to fine-tune both height and width until it felt like it was made just for me. I also have long hair and often ride with it tied back, so the ponytail cut was a thoughtful feature that kept the helmet secure without pulling or feeling awkward. On top of that, the helmet has a sleek low-cut design that not only looks great but also adds extra protection at the back of my head. It’s lightweight enough that I forget I’m wearing it during long rides, yet sturdy enough to inspire confidence. Whether I’m training or just enjoying a relaxed trail ride, I know I’m getting premium safety and comfort in one package, and that combination is worth every penny, 5 Stars!
