Nice and bright, cheaper than pet store
This is a nice bulb! It’s plenty bright and way cheaper than buying from the pet store. The color is rather blue, but that’s to be expected. Standard bulb socket size and a touch larger than a standard bulb.I’ve had it in my turtle tank for about a month without any issues so far! I don’t forsee any durability issues, but I’ll report back if the lifespan isn’t what’s expected. All in all, it’s a bright UVB bulb that does the trick for my turtle, so I’m happy with it!

Not the best, but it’ll do in a pinch
So I’ve heard that spiral bulbs aren’t recommended for UVB for reptiles because the area of coverage is too narrow or something, but it may also depend on your specific reptile and enclosure setup. Which is another good reason to do all of your in-depth research ahead of time BEFORE getting your animal.Seriously. I cannot stress that enough.Anyway, I got this as a backup bulb for my kingsnake’s temporary enclosure while I’m in the process of upgrading him to a larger enclosure that’ll better accommodate the longer T5 UVB bulbs. So as a backup, this’ll do in a pinch, or maybe for certain animals, but if money isn’t an issue, I’d say definitely go for the more expensive T5 setup with the appropriate wattage light for you specific animal.

Dimmer than my normal bulb
I purchased this bulb as a backup for my leopard gecko, Irena, in case her linear UVB bulb needs replacing. It fits well in my deep light fixture and provides UVA/UVB coverage, though it seems slightly dimmer than other bulbs Iâve used. My only concern is that the instructions caution against turning it on and off frequently, which is a bit tricky since reptiles need a proper day-night cycle to support digestion and overall health. Functionally, it seems fine as a temporary or emergency option.

The light works as expected
The light works well. It is on the brighter side and adds a lot of white light to the enclosure. It works as expected. It seems to be emitting sufficient UV rays from the bulb. It has lasted awhile so far.

Bright, but May Require Separate Lamp Stand
Your reptile needs UVB light and this one is a solid choice. One thing I overlooked was how long the light is. If you typically use UVB lights in lamps that sit flush on top of your petâs cage or terrarium, you may need to get a much deeper lamp or have this fit into your current lamp on a separate stand. The bulb area is over 5 inches long and the entire light is over 6 inches. Since many popular lamps are in the 4 inch range, make sure you have a plan to use this on a separate stand or clip that attaches to the end of your petâs habitat. Overall, very nice UVB light source.

Works well
This is uvb/uva reptile bulb seems to be fairly standard. It gives good quality light, albeit a little dimmer then most I have had. It functions well and the size is good for my younger lizard. It’s a few dollars cheaper than in store for the same capacity light. As for lifespan, I have only been using it about a week and still going strong.

Bright UVB bulb
Great UVB light that is very bright as well. I ordered this to go over my older Canary’s cage as birds need UVB as well. This is a larger bulb so if you are using the small dome light fixtures the bulb itself does extend out past the bottom of the fixture slightly which will cause it to not sit level. You do need either the large fixtures or deep ones.
