I love this grooming bag. It’s the perfect gift for someone that just got a new pony. I use it for horse shows. It’s a great travel bag, and it has almost everything you need for a perfect groom.Let’s talk about it – We have a hoof pick with a brush – import to be sure there are no rocks in tender souls. The stiff brush knocks off any excess dirt and debris, and we know how important it is to be super clean for the shows.We have rubber bands – the nice black ones used for those fancy braids. I always forget the rubber bands – not when I keep them in my grooming bag with the rest of my stuff!We have a mane and tale comb, a mane and tail brush (the good one ya’ll!)We have a braiding comb, – metal not plastic, it’s a good one.We have a round curry comb, a stiff bristle brush, and a finishing brush.We even have a mud brush for those naughty horses that insist on rolling immediately after a bath.Speaking of baths, we have THREE sponges, they are nice firm sponges, and we also have a squeegee.That’s everything, it’s all there. It comes in a nice mesh bag – so you can see everything in it, and there is not a bunch of dirt gathering at the bottom of the bag.Added bonus, all the items match – it’s an actual set. I love matchy-matchy things. It speaks to my heart.The bag also has pockets around the outside for extras you want to add to complete your kit, like a bot block, for getting those grass stains off of white hocks, and show sheen, fly spray, a couple of soft clothes, some face oil, some jell, ear clippers to get those wispys that appeared overnight, and a secret bag of peppermints. This bag will hold it all, and keep it nicely organized for quick grabbing when you are in a hurry.If you have a horse, you need this bag of goodies. Even if you don’t show, or didn’t just get a new pony, the convenience alone is worth the price. Plus.. matchy-matchy!

Perfect for on the go
I am actually quite impressed with this expansive grooming kit! You get everything pictured, and I really appreciate the tote bag to toss it all into. The bag is roomy and has plenty of space to throw even more tools into it just in case. None of it is the most highest quality stuff in the world, but for $39 for the entire set, you really cannot beat the value. It’s a great kit to keep in a horse trailer on the go, so you don’t have to worry about packing your regular essentials. The brushes are way nicer than I expected, and the silicone-type rubber construction on the tools feels pretty nice and flexible. I would absolutely recommend this as a neat little starter kit for anyone on a budget.

Useful and well made
This is an awesome grooming kit! It has really useful tools and lots of them for ALL your grooming needs (horses and dogs for us). All the tools fit in the carrying bag (which is nice and convenient). And they are well made and sturdy tools. We are currently using the tools to groom our very long haired and often matted irish goldendoodle and the two horses we have on pasture. Works great for the mane and tail, hooves, and shedding. It also includes helpful bathing a horse tools that are great for slicking off water. I recommend this kit!

Good variety, but not built to last
With 25+ years of hands-on horse experience, I appreciate when a grooming kit offers variety at a reasonable price, because horse products aren’t cheap. This set does cover the basics (and more!), and the mesh bag feels like a nice addition. Unfortunately, the quality just isn’t there for everyday use.The curry comb, for example, arrived slightly deformed and is uncomfortable to hold due to the sharp edges along the handle. The hard plastic pieces don’t feel sturdy, and the brush bristles are entirely plastic, which limits effectiveness and longevity. Even the bag, while convenient, has its handles sewn in an odd direction so it gapes open when carried.This kit might work as a temporary solution (say, a backup set to keep in a trailer or something dedicated to one horse being treated for skin issues while you can’t share grooming tools) but I wouldn’t expect it to withstand continuous use.
