Good buckets, good deal
These buckets have been very sturdy, mostly used in yard work. Have hauled stones around in them. The handle seems to have a solid attachment that won’t rip out. As good or better than big box store buckets.

Nice pails.
One pail is perfect to hold a 15 lb bag of Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice for Small Senior dogs. I had thought they came with lids but ordered a lid and it came the next day. The pails are durable and food grade so work for me. The other two will be used for other things, if lids are needed I can order them. A good value.

Exactly as advertised. Food save, came clean, no mold issues. Good price. At five gallons they are correct for most people for moving ice or liquids. Any bigger and smaller staff wonât be able to move them when full.

Thinner/lighter than orange “homer” bucket
First time I saw these on Amazon. Bought two 3-packs. I have purchased more than a few 5 gal buckets and lids for long term storage, in many varieties. My comparison of this bucket with a standard orange Home Depot “homerâ bucket (manufactured in the US by Leaktite) is below:1. I received 3 of 3 ordered, 5 gal. United Solutions buckets (green). No lids included.2. This bucket is 1.53 lbs and the sidewall flexes a bit more than a “homer” bucket which weighs 1.75 lbs. No wall thickness âmilsâ listed for this bucket. âhomerâ is .070 mils, white food grade bucket is usually .090 mils.3. Can stack these slightly tapered wall buckets in a “homer” but a “homer won’t fully fit in these. $7.66/bucket for this 3-pack, $10/bucket for “homer” 6-pack recently bought on Amazon.4. Could not get aftermarket “gamma seal” type screw-on lid rings to seat on this bucket using a 4 lb mallet (they seal every time on âhomersâ), but managed to get standard hammer-on/pry-off lids to seat properly. Leaktite snap-on lids also fit this bucket with no tools required, but had a tiny bit more play in them than a snap-on lid on a âhomerâ. I would not use a snap-on lid with this bucket for liquid/heavy material handling.5. No food grade markings, I do not consider them suitable for direct bulk food storage (rice, beans, dog food, etc.) or for potable water. I expect them to be fine for long term storage of vacuum or hermetically sealed foods, meds, sanitary supplies, etc. Less new-bucket chemical stink than some “homers” I’ve bought. Good value for hauling dirt, sand, mulch, tools, etc.6. I like that they are US made of recycled materials. The finish is a bit âslickerâ than a âhomerâ. They un-nest easily but I have yet to evaluate their ease of cleanup with paint. Also, no mention of UV protection. I expect them to fade and become brittle when left in the sun for several years like âhomerâ buckets.7. The bottom of the buckets I received are stamped âUNITED SOLUTIONSâ, âU.S. 5 GAL.â, âMADE IN USAâ and have a manufactured date stamp of â8-21â.Thatâs my âbucket listâ. Hint: always drop silica desiccant bags in any sealed bucket (non-liquids only) to absorb moisture in the event of an improper seal. Add oxygen absorber packs if stored items are prone to long term oxidation. Cheap insurance, no matter what type of bucket or lid you use.
