Great addition to your pet’s food!
I got this for a 7 month old kitten who seemed to lack interest in food and wasn’t at a healthy weight. I tried all kinds of food, treats, supplements, etc. but he just wasn’t interested. He was healthy, vet checked, and playful just skinny. I finally saw this and decided it was worth a try and amazingly, he LOVED it mixed with his canned food! Within a couple of days he was cleaning his dish after every meal and by the end of the month he was up to a good weight, his coat was getting shiny, and he just looked ‘brighter’. I’ve been adding some to the wet food of a couple young females and their coats are already looking so much better. I hadn’t thought they looked bad before but they look gorgeous now.

Good product for older cats or sick cats who need to eat.
I used this for a cat who was losing weight. She really liked it. Unfortunately she has passed away, but it helped get food into her. The other cats were always wanting to eat it!

My elderly dog likes this flavor and eats it well butâ¦
My elderly dog really likes this flavor. I feel like it has boosted his appetite substantially, but it really hasnât helped him gain any weight. Iâm doing the recommended scoops a day and I havenât really seen a significant weight gain at all, but it encourages him to eat so I guess itâs a win. Heâs a 17-year-old pitbull.

Wish my cat liked the flavor
My cat is really turned off by the flavor. I was hoping to use it liberally in his meals as he needs to put back on some weight after being sick, but heâd rather ignore the food once this is in or on it and waits me out until I give him a fresh bowl with no powder added.

Good cat supplement!!
I have an elderly cat with hyperthyroidism that is extremely thin despite high quality canned and dry cat food . I give him chicken baby food because it is easy for him to eat, however the baby food doesnât have all the vitamins he needs, so I mix one scoop of this into it! I love that it provides iron and vitamins. He really loves it! And itâs helping him maintain weight!

Not sure how well it works due to my cat is very picky. I have a hard time getting her to eat the food with the product added to her food.

Good for Hyperthyroid Cats
It’s EXTREMELY difficult to find a supplement/weight gain product for cats who have hyperthyroidism and CANNOT consume added iodine in their snacks or main food. This powdered version doesn’t have potassium iodide (their other versions do). It mixes very smooth (in seconds) in water and/or HydraCare using a handheld foam blender. I’m on my third container of it. FYI, my local pet store contacted the manufacturer because their distributor only carries the dog version. Per the manufacturer: the “dog” version is exactly the same as the cat, just a larger container and the scooper inside is twice the size as the scooper that comes with the cat version. You’re welcome! $$ 🙂
