Spnoge Filter made of high quality ABS plastic, safe and non-toxic, transparent appearance, skeletonized top cover fence design, which can prevent fish from accidentally entering the filter to hurt them.
Good Filtration Effect: biochemical filter cotton can effectively filter large residue, biological filter ball can quickly decompose small residue; multi-layer filtration design, can quickly establish the nitrification system, eliminate odor, quickly purify the water, and return the fish a clean and healthy environment.
Oxygenation: The fish filter is built-in bubble stone, used with aquarium oxygen pump, can effectively increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water, providing sufficient oxygen for the fish.
Quiet <30dB: the filter works by the air pump drive, itself does not produce sound, in the work can only hear the sound of the water flow and the sound of the air pump work (Note: the air pump is not included)

Great Little Filter!
Works very well! Weighted bottom keeps in down, produces good amount aeration, and filters particles from water very effectively. I have this one in a 5.5 gallon and water is crystal clear. The only downside is that it can be a bit difficult to open up for maintenance. Once you get the hang of it, though, itâs not so difficult. Iâm planning on buying a few more for more other tanks.

Possibly factory defect
I bought this product because of the design, which is great. When I set it up I noticed a break in the air passage, so I requested a replacement. The replacement arrived, and had the same exact defect in the same exact location. Being that I was impressed with the design, I may just keep the product and try to repair the defect. Other than this defect, the product seems really well designed. The base is weighted, and the box filter also comes with an air stone, hosing, and media.

Cool but broken – DIY Fix
Tube connecting the airline to air stone has a big crack, right out of the box. Cool filter idea but ultimately doesnât work. UPDATE: I applied silicone to the break and let it dry overnight. Works as well now.

The Best Box Filter Ever
Everything is right about this box filter. It is sturdy and customizable and has a relatively small footprint. The design of the grates also insures that small or delicate aquarium residents won’t get injured or sucked in as well. There is one feature that makes this a standout product however, and it can’t be overstated. THE BASE IS SOLIDLY WEIGHTED! Anyone who has dealt with box filters knows that the most annoying thing that has to be addressed when setting up one of these is that it may float or tilt all of a sudden if the content balance is off. You either have to secure the hose or box with suction cups or bury the base so it can’t move and defeat the whole function. Alternatively you have to put rocks or heavy substrate at the bottom of the box to anchor it. With this filter the problem is nonexistent by design and I couldn’t be happier with this box filter. It is the perfect size for a 10 gallon setup in my opinion. I will be ordering several more of these to stockpile for sure.

Unique design, neat product…impossible to clean!
Overall, definitely more good things to say here than bad. This is a fascinating little filter and I love it. It has some class to it, a sense of elegance compared to the standard bare sponge filter that works well but is well, standard. This one is unique in that regard and I rather enjoy the look of it. The weight is large and quite sturdy, the enclosure for the filter is thick and very easily viewed inside. It does have an air stone in it to make those nice fine bubbles, as well. The sponge portion is smaller compared to most, but it does have ceramic balls for extra bio-media so that isn’t really a big deal overall. Really, my only complaint is that it’s so ridiculously difficult to get apart! It took me a good ten minutes each of the times I tried to get it apart to fiddle with it or clean the sponges or whatnot. It simply pulls apart at one section, so I’m not sure if it’s me not pulling on the correct areas or lacking the strength to get it apart or what, but it certainly isn’t coming apart often.
