U.S. Art Supply 11″ Small Tabletop Display Stand and/or Artist Easel
This may be one of the best buys on Amazon! I paint with my grandson when I visit so needed supplies that could easily be transported. This 11″ easel is perfect for that. It is real beechwood yet is light weight (not pine or MDF, a no-no). It folds up flat and opens into an “a” shape for use. Our largest canvas to date is an 8×10″ but I suspect the easel would hold, not huge sizes, but perhaps a size or two above 8×10.The easel would be ideal for children yet useful for adults painting smaller canvases and for transport. The size would work extremely well for classrooms or painting parties. Indeed, there are several ideal usage suggestions in the sales listing at Amazon. I have used this easel many times with only one smear of paint to show for it. I swear that purchasing this easel at $9.99 was my purchase of the year. Really.

A little bit rough, but it works well
I was really looking for a metal or clear plastic support for a small painting on a board. I wanted something that would not distract from the picture itself. This easel does the job of holding it, and itâs sturdy, and was easy to set up, but it does have a bit more size/presence than I wanted and the wood is not super smooth. The picture is displayed up high inside a cabinet, so I was able to make it work.

Yep, it’s 11 inches tall, of lightweight construction
Bought a single one of these to check for size/fit. Unfortunately it was broken in shipment by a heavy unpadded item Amazon threw in the same box with it. But at least I could see it might work for my purpose. There are reviews here that say it’s only 8 inches tall, and even a photo posted showing “8 inches” on a label on the package. Mine however was advertised as 11 inches, labeled as 11 inches, and stands 11 inches (or nearly so, depending on angle) at tallest point. I will return this one and probably try a couple more of these. They are assembled with thin wire staples (not screws) in fairly light, unfinished wood, so these easels are by no means heavy-duty. For static display and lighter artwork, and at this price, probably OK. The base tray by the way is about 7.5 inches wide, 3/4 inch deep (to restraining “lip”) and the bottom legs are 6 3/4 inches apart. I hope the full dimensions are useful as I was looking for this information when I purchased this one but not finding it.
