A must buy
My dogs were sprayed by a skunk. Not sure if it was a direct hit or if the smell on them was from the aftermath, but my Shepherd seemed to get the worse end of the deal. For 3 days I tried peroxide baths (twice), pooph (twice) and leaving them outside to air out, he still stunk. I researched online and learned this shampoo was rated as best for 2025. Following directions, I applied it to his dry coat, let soak for at least 5 minutes, then rinsed it with warm water. When rinsing, the soap foams up and leaves a pleasant fragrance, I took this opportunity to rub the suds into his coat again before completely rinsing. When applying, the soap has a gel like consistency and does not foam when applying. Make sure to get enough on your pet to cover all areas that may have been sprayed. I figured I would have to do it again since he stunk so bad, but once seemed to do the trick. He may have a slight smell (on his head, above his eyes), but the rest of him just has this fresh fragrance. The shampoo did not agitate his skin and left him soft to the touch. I would definitely buy it again.

It Worked When Trusty Farm Recipe Failed
We have lived on a farm, therefore we arenât strangers to skunk spray on the dogs. Usually our home remedy works, but not most recently. We bathed multiple times. Tried 3 OTC shampoos. Then this. Itâs the only thing that worked. We use it regularly for because it SMELLS SOOOO DANG GOOD! We have a small rat terrier chi mix, a husky/pit mix, and a golden. Works well on all coats!

Skunk smell gone!
Smells amazing! This shampoo not only took away the smell of skunk but left our dogs fur silky and soft. The smell has hints of tropical fruity smells. Great quality shampoo as it had great suds and rinsed out well! Great value and easy to use. It took a repeat wash on one of my dogs but on my other two it got the smell out first try!

An important component to Deskunking your dog!
In conjunction with skunk odor control shampoo this stuff really works well and isnât terribly messy in the process.It may take repeated applications to get rid of all the smell and it depends on how close the skunk was when it sprayed your dog. Direct close exposure will likely require repeated shampoo and the application of this product. Our dog encountered that had taken up residence under a shed. After the initial spray we gave Toby a tomato 2 juice baths followed by 2 order control shampoo bathes. The mild lingering skunk order was too much so I tried this product. It had an immediate reduction in odor. I followed up every 2 hours for 6 hours and the smell was 98% gone. I kept reapply once or twice a day for 3 days. Part of the reason I had to keep reapplying was that the area around the shed had residual smell on the grass and Toby had to keep checking that the trespasser had indeed moved on.The product is a jell consistency. I found that a folded paper towel worked as an applicator and then I worked the jell into the fur with my fingers.
