Can you love a toilet seat? Yes, as a matter of fact, you can.I didnât have any of the recommended Home Depot buckets that this seat supposedly fits perfectly, but after trying out several of the buckets I already own, found one that it fit on perfectly. Slipping that bucket inside of another bucket added a few inches that made the height perfect for me. This snaps into place securely and stays, so thereâs no fear of slippage while you go.A plastic kitchen bag in the bucket, and some sawdust to absorb the go, covers the basics of use. The seat has a softer foam insert so you donât hurt your heinie, and it is removable so you can clean and air the whole unit easily and adequately. The seat lid snaps on tight to help contain odors. Living rurallyâwhere we can lose electricity, and so water, since the well pump doesnât workâIâve used this in an indoor situation and even over the course of several daysâ collection, it works great.

Great purchase, camping must-have
Very functional! Agree with the instructions, the first installation was a struggle because it was a tight fit (recommend warming it in the sun or something before first use) but subsequent installations were much easier. Was comfortable to use, the lid latched well, the toilet paper holder worked as expected, and easy to clean. This, a homer bucket, a trash bag, and some cat litter, and you’re good to go. As a lady who hasn’t been camping in a while, this was an excellent purchase. Seems well constructed and I get the impression it will hold up over many uses.

Better than most
Let me preface this review by saying that I have only used this in a ‘dry run’. Our intention is to store this for emergency use.It fits The Home Depot bucket well and is much more comfortable than several other that I have tried that don’t have the padding.In my dry run , I didn’t have issues with the pad sticking to me as some other reviewers have commented. If it did, it would be simple enough to put it back down.I do wish the lid had a bit more positive of a latch. However, none of them I have seen do, so that seems to be a common thing with a sort of device.

Best Portable Seat!!!
Iâve tried a lot of types of portable toilets. Our house has only 1 bathroom so I use a bucket toilet in our bedroom closet ð. I started out with the Reliance one. That lasted for a while but eventually one of the hinges on the lid snapped off. Plus, before it snapped off, it was a nuisance because the lid would often slide off of its hinges.Next I tried a couple of those handy looking foldable toilets. The first one was really short and the seat was really uncomfortable. Would be fine for a couple of uses but not 5x/night like I need (lol). I returned that one and tried one that was taller with a better seat. With that one, the lid didnât have hingesâit was comfier and padded, but quite annoying for more than occasional use. Plus the inner seat would come off when I would take the lid off, and the toilet would partially collapse, so not something you want when peeing in the night (but really why would you ever want that?) The only plus of that toilet was that it was more usable as a stool than some lids. But not a very sturdy feeling stool really.Now this lid is perfect. It is super easy to put on my Ace Hardware bucket, but not loose. It is padded and a lot more comfy than those plain plastic ones, and Iâm excited to have a less cold seat in winter. The hinges look wayyy more durable than the Reliance design, plus they wonât slide off of their hinge holder because they are set in place.I combine this with compostable bags and some of the eco porta potty powder. I was using kitty litter until this week when I switched to the powder, which looks like it will cost me the same as litter, but is so much lighter and keeps the smell and moisture away in the little potty life saver ð.

Perfect and Compact
Perfect for those like us who work on the road and there isnt anything in sight. Although I must say, Im 5’7″ tall and its small, but as men, we can make it work. Shouldnt be an issue for women. Definitely more comfortable than just using the bucket itself. For the price, its a good deal. As for the plastic? I say its made of ABS, so it doesnt seem very easy to break. The cushion on the seat is comfortable.
