I never suspected the word “miniature” in the title to mean it was for a miniature horses. The picture doesn’t look like a miniature, and the text just refers to “horse”, not “miniature horse”. I ordered a medium, which comes nowhere near to latching on my Arabian, who needs a smaller fly mask than the other horses. It does not have the double latch closure advertised and shown in the picture. One reviewer said it fit a standard donkey, so I tried it on ours. There is no way the hook part of the Velcro-like strap could get anywhere near the loop part on the other side of the donkey’s chin as shown in one photo. In the other photo, from the front with the mask unfastened of course, look hard toward the left of the mask and you can see part of the donkey’s eye just above the black bottom band. You can also see that the mask is considerable shorter vertically than the one pictured. Many of the holes in the screen of the printed portion are filled with paint; very sloppy. My previous experience with fly masks with the same material used for the latch strap is that the strap rips off within a few days of use. Other than that it’s cute. It may fit a miniature horse, I don’t have one to try it on, but would probably be best to put on briefly for photographs rather than rely on as a fly mask.Update : Refund was easier and more generous than I could have imagined. Love shopping with Amazon.

I purchased this for my 19 yr old painted mare. I ordered a large, she wears a small size halter and this fit her perfectly. If your horse wears larger then a small size halter then this may be too small. Love these! Probably could have ordered them mediums, but went with the large size. Both tiny donks have larger jowls and I wanted to have enough room for their ears. Theyâre a little big, but still work and have stayed on. My husband thinks theyâre ridiculous, but no matter what you canât help but laugh when you look at them!!

The medium size fits our Shetland pony perfect and it looks so cute on her My granddaughter loves it! Not holding up as good as I wanted but the horses are rough so definitely have to purchase a new one next summer
