This products works to filter gunk out. They are made of synthetic low-abrasion scrubber material. They fit the filter of the same brand. They last a month before they get all gunked up, which makes sense since my tank is brackish. The tanks stays within safe limits with the use of Seachem media. WIthout the media, they just filter the gunk, but the water begins to have problems.
