Hat Cage For Keeping Caps In Decent Shape So They Don’t Stay Embarrassingly Grimy.
I’ve been on a Spring Cleaning tear for the last couple weeks. Yes, I’m aware it’s the beginning of fall. No, I’m not late, I’m going with early…. veryyyy early.It’s also the time of year I put up our summery duds and get our fall and winter stuff out. We wear a lot of baseball caps around here, and some of them are really gross. But, apparently, these are Cherished Objects, and cannot just be replaced. And I don’t really want to contribute to more landfillcore, so I’m up for washing everything I can.So I am VERY happy to have this cap cage thing in my cleaning arsenal. When I first got it, it looked HUGE, but I put one of the Cherished Objects in the cap cage, and it fits fine (see exhibit 1, pix attached).I’m not gonna lie, I did not and I am not going to put the cap cage in my washer. Yes, yes, I know it says it will do that, but I don’t really need a cap cage to fill the washing function. I just hand washed one of the soiled Cherished Objects, got out pretty much all the grime and then placed the Cherished Object in the cap cage, and let it dry outside on a sunny day. Worked totally fine! I also have a rack for my dryer which allows me to put things like sweaters and other things that shouldn’t be tumbled dry, and this will work great in there as well.So, if you’re looking for an excellent cap cage to make sure your Cherished Objects retain their shape while drying after hand washing, yes! I recommend this! It’s a great add to my cleaning, keep things out of the landfill setup.
