A practical resource for the ADHD brain
Recently diagnosed with ADHD in my 50âs, while exhibiting many of the signs growing up, I canât help but wonder how my life would have been different had I known earlier and had effective treatment, tools, and strategies to better manage it. This book sees me, as I longed to learn practical ways in everyday life to keep a clean, organized spaceâsomething that I have always wanted, but has always eluded me. Kaye Wrights understands the ADHD brain and provides great practical insights, strategies, and resources to help create a more calm and tidy environment. The Kindle version of this book is excellentâI can highlight key tips, refer back to it often on my phone, and not add to the clutter. An excellent reference guide with concise, practical strategies to keep ADHDers on task for a neat, clean space.

Making sense of what is holding me back.
I am only getting started with this book and I just love all the helpful breakdowns that help me actually get started. Like a true ADHD person that I am, Iâm all over the place reading this. I find itâs helpful that her breakdown in the table of contents makes it so easy for me to go back and check other areas that Iâm interested in.For me doing the breaking down of big tasks using task chunking, and using a timer makes so much sense. I found that I was capable of setting the timer for 10 or 15 minutes and then able to move on and do an additional 10 or 15 minutes.I also found it so helpful to do the brain dump step, which is writing out and working on all my mental clutter. My biggest area of clutter has always been my bedroom, and I was always aware of how all of this clutter was affecting my mental well-being. I really feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel by using this book to help me declutter. It is helping me make sense of how to handle being overwhelmed with the clutter and how to work through my mental blocks that have been holding me back. Again, I am only getting started, but I can see that Iâm making great progress.I highly recommend this book to help get through what is holding you back.Feeling Grateful and Hopeful!

Who knew!
Like so many other ADHD sufferers I had lost hope, simply accepting that my life and surroundings would always be a mess. This book gives guidelines and tips that make a lot of sense. I don’t know if I’m going to make it, but at least now I have an incentive to put into practice some of the suggestions, especially achieving little victories at a time. The book is easy to read and is a relatable narrative. If you have ADHD you will most definitely benefit from its reading.

Really Helpful Suggestions
My house is a mess and dirty. My adult children have suggested that I have undiagnosed ADHD. So, when I came across this book, I decided to see if it would help. The suggestions and why they should work really appealed to me. I didn’t feel condemned or overwhelmed while I read the book. I love Fly Lady but I stand in the middle of my room and wonder where to start. This book offered an app that could break tasks down for me. The author points out how color coding things could help. I recommend this book to those who need a soft, gentle guide to getting your home under control. I plan on trying out the suggestions and coming back with a more detailed review.
