How to Apply
Before using InstaFix for ponds, ensure that water is well aerated via waterfall, fountain, or other method to prevent fish loss. Aeration must be continuous. During warm weather with high water temperatures, vigorous, 24-hour aeration is required. High water temperatures cause more rapid decay of dead algae, which can cause fish distress. When algae is treated, it may cause oxygen levels to drop to harmful levels if adequate aeration is not provided.
Heavy Algae Growth: It is highly recommended to remove excess algae prior to your treatment. Removing excess algae will produce better results with less treatments while reducing decaying organic matter, resulting in less oxygen loss.
Formulated for Fountains, Small Ponds with Goldfish & Koi: InstaFix Algae Control can be used in water features that have no outflow after treatment.
Use 1 oz of InstaFix pond cleaner per 360 gallons of pond or fountain water. Pour evenly around the pond edges or into an area with the greatest circulation. Can I use double the dosage to get quicker results?
No, we only recommend using the amount listed on the product label. Using more than directed will not speed up the results and can be harmful for the pond.
How often should I apply this product?
For best results, apply once every three days for a total of three treatments. Wait a minimum of 3 days between treatments. Then apply weekly for maintenance as needed. Do not use more than the recommended dose. It may be necessary to add additional treatments depending on the severity of the algae bloom.
Can I use InstaFix at the same time as I use my beneficial bacteria?
No, we recommend waiting at least 72 hours before adding any beneficial bacteria products to your pond.
Is this product harmful to birds that drink and bathe in the pond?
No, when used in accordance with the label and dosage rates, InstaFix will not harm birds or wildlife that visit your pond.
Is this product safe for use in ponds containing snails?
No, InstaFix is not recommended for ponds containing snails, crustaceans, or mollusks.

Bought another bottle to get me through the season
Absolutely the best stuff Iâve used. Been fighting algae for years. You have to make sure you check daily to stay on top of the growth. 845 gallons in my water feature only takes less that a capful to keep algae under control

Works well to kill string algae. Also killed algae on flat rocks and rocks turned black as moss was killed. Need to power wash rocks. But glad it killed algae and whatever it touches. No animals drink from it and no fish. Used in a decorative recirculating water feature.

It works for about 4 days in my water fountain. Then have to reapply it. It does not completely remove algae but it works better than some other brands that I have used. The picture and video show what the water looks like after 4 days in about 85 degree and sunny weather.

Really works!
I was a little afraid to use this because of the problems associated with algaecide. But it worked exactly as described. I have a small prefab pond of about 165 gallons. I halved the dosage for 360 gallons and the results are amazing! When I started the water was completely green and one could hardly see the fish. Three weeks later the water is crystal clear and I can see 24 inches down to the bottom of the pond. No ill effects on my fish or the plants. I think the important part is that the pond is extremely well aerated and I clean the filter on a weekly basis. Fish now seem playful and swim over to me when it’s time to eat!

Actually works for algae removal, I have no fish in my pond so I cant say for sure if it keeps the fish safe or not but it sure cleared up my water!
