I really like how this product keeps the chicken feeder dry even in the rain. It really prevents waste by keeping the chickens from just pulling food onto the ground.Very easy to install with the included hole saw. I added a screw top lid to make it easy to fill.Highly recommend!!As much as I really like the feeder is equally how I dislike the water attachment!! When you fill the bucket and attach the water bottom, the bottom always partially detaches and spills out a portion of the water. I find it tends to leak as well.Summary : Feeder great – Waterer not!!

Excellent Product!
I purchased the 3 port capacity for my chickens. I just purchased a 5 gallon bucket with a lid from my local hardware store. The instructions included are very simple and clear. I was very impressed that included is a circular blade attachment for an drill. And I was able to set it all up without any assistance from anyone. This design really has completely eliminated any wasted food due to rain. I was hoping this would deter rodents, though it has not. At least I don’t believe the rodents are able to get inside the bucket, but I’m not 100% sure, however, there is always some feed left on the ground, not too much though. I have my bucket elevated on a small stand, and when the feed runs low, there have been times when the bucket has toppled over, but typically it’s sturdy and my hens have no issues eating from it. I love that you can select and size bucket/container that works for you, it’s very versatile and has made my life much easier and I feel better that I’ve had no wasted feed.

Worked for 2 months then Broke
Purchased two of these. They have been used for three months so far, not used in direct sunlight and not abused in any way shape or form. I came out today to check on my chickens water and both of my 5 gallon buckets were bone dry. Both watering devices apparently have broken within the same amount of time. There is a hairline crack in one of them and a larger crack in the second which allowed 10 gallons of water to leak out within a matter of two days. These watering devices were never abused and were always used/removed from the bucket in the way the manufacturer describes, Which is by using the trough on the front to help the removal of the device, and this is exactly where both of the cracks in the device are located. Luckily we did not discover this after coming home from vacation otherwise, all of our chickens would be dead.

Much better option for a chicken feeder
Much better price than buying an entire feeder! Easy to install on a bucket I got at the local donut shop. Very functional and my chickens like it. The size is perfect for them since it comes with 3. Easy to clean and pretty thick plastic.

Easy Installation
I was able to install 2 ports in less than 10 minutes. The provided hole saw was high-quality and cut easily. The mounting was very solid, with a gasket.

Good not great
Worked well at first although a little awkward to flip a 5 gallon bucket. Have had it since April and refill the bucket about once a month but noticed this last time I filled it, the next day the bucket was empty. Turns out the plastic on the waterer part is cracked and letting all the water through. This wonât be an issue if you have the hose always connected to it to keep a constant flow of water. But for those who fill it up all at once and then set in the coop, you may want to look at metal waterers.

Not thick enough to withstand
I like the theory of this waterer as you can use it on almost any 5 gallon bucket, however, it is not very sturdy. The good: it fit a 5 gallon bucket, which I really liked the idea since buckets are readily available. It is easy to clean, functions exactly as it should. All you have to do is keep it in a fairly level surface. The bad: the plastic is rigid and not really very thick on the bottom. With changing temperatures, this makes it easy to split or break during cold weather when you are attaching it to the bucket because you have to give it some force to snap it on the bucket. I wish it were made out of a more flexible material such as some of the other waters. I felt like the price was fair until it only lasted 6 months. I wonât buy another like this because it is too fragile.

Our chicken run was overrun with rats. I tried a variety of feeders but none proved to be rat resistant – until this one. I installed the plastic feeders in a big plastic bucket and hung it from a tripod so that the chickens have to stretch slightly to get at the feed. We haven’t seen a rat in the chicken run for over two months. They just can’t get at the feed and seem to have moved on.

I ordered this because in the main advertising photo it showed a whole feeder not just the attachments. I was very disappointed to learn I had paid more for these than some other advertisements based on the fact I thought it was a whole product. The advert is very misleading! Be aware all you get is three attachments not the whole product!
