    Platys love it!
I have a 29 gallon tank with around 30 Platys. I purchased the tablet to try before I went on vacation to make sure my fish would eat it. They loved it but they ate all day long. I only put in half of the tablet because I only needed 3 days worth. They ate on it for 5 days then I took the remainder out. I was impressed that it didn’t make a mess in my tank like others commented in other reviews. It will definitely give me peace of mind while we are away on vacation.

Excellent company and price is half of what local pet stores have in stock 🙂 Great deal!
Excellent product, great quality and price spot on. I have used this for years and finally bought it on Amazon. I was getting it from local pet store and was double the price.

    Very disappointing experience
I bought 2 five day tablets to do a trial run in each of my 2 tanks. They were put into the tanks the day after a detailed cleaning. On day 2, I was left with 2 cloudy tanks the morning after dropping the tablets in them! Also, the fish were almost entirely disinterested in the tablets (I have guppies, tetras, snails, glo-fish and rasboras). By day 3 both food tablets were showing fungal growth which became worse with each passing day and acted as a barrier to the fish actually accessing the tablet! Another reviewer on this page who took pictures of his tablet actually shows the fungal growth (it starts off as a whitish mound) in his tank Only the snails in my tanks seemed interested in feeding on the tablets but I noticed one snail that was eating it keeled over & died post feeding not 1/4″ away from the tablet!. Simply put, it was a disappointing experience and I will have to seek another solution to finding a way to feed my fish while on vacation. I was hopeful that this product would work. Frankly, I am surprised that some folks here have anything positive to report about these food tablets! Nevertheless, the negative reviews all say the same thing: cloudy water and many fish don’t go for it.

    guppies, shrimp, snails love it
and it doesn’t mess up the tank! But my Bettas don’t seem to like it much. When I put it in I break in a few pieces, the bits that fall off they grab right away but when I return the Betta sorority tank still has almost all the feeding block and the guppy/snail/shrimp tank has no trace of food. I have used for up to 8 days and so far have lost no fish and none seem starved when I return. I will continue to use.

Worked well for our fish and water quality (2 1/2 days 75 gallon)
Worked great and didn’t cloud the water. Fish enjoyed it and ate every bit. We used in a 75 gallon tank with large, medium and small fish for 2 1/2 days.

The metal container isn’t designed well.
The fish seemed to like it well enough – after I had to take the food out of the metal feeder. They apparently couldn’t get it out of the container. I double checked to see if there was some film I needed to peel off the top of the feeder, but couldn’t find one. They barely got any food out of it until I dug the food out of the container and just plopped it into the water without the container.

    Nice vaycay feeder
I have a couple fish tanks and these little things came in handy for our week vacation this summer. They have the consistency of cat food, which was a surprise to me because any vacation feeder I used previously is like a hard little brick. My fish loved it and it lasted.

work good, fish didn’t starve. easy to use
These work good. Used 1 for over the long weekend. My fish took right to it easily, so I was able to go away without worrying about them starving.Follow the directions, I put a whole tab in, but really should have only put a half of one.Good value for the cost. Definitely buy again!

I received it damaged. It was squeezed into a small box in a very bad way and the funny part is I can’t request a return or a refund

Does the job….just make sure the plug doesn’t get stuck under any rocks/ornaments in the tank….

Kept my fish fed and happy while I was away. Dissolves slowly and doesn’t cloud the water.

Have used these a couple of times now and the fish seem to like them as they are pretty much gone by the time we get back from a trip. Haven’t had any issue with them going ‘mouldy’ as some people have stated in reviews however the longest they’ve been in the tank has been 5 days. Will be doing a 10 day trip next year so will be interesting to see how they go for that.
