Wiped out a brown algae bloom
This wiped out a brown algae bloom that seemingly came out of nowhere in my freshwater aquarium. One treatment and the algae was clearing up well the next day in my 5 gallon aquarium. It is safe to use and did not harm any of my fish. Very effective, I would buy these again.

Peace. After struggling with bacteria bloom for a few months I began to wonder if crystal clear water was a myth. In search of correction ChatGPT referred to this product. After a weekâ¦â¦Iâm sold! I used it in my AIO Waterbox 10. Back to crystal clear water, my hope is restored.

Works well but be careful
Works very well but my fish got sick. He didn’t die but definitely swam less for a few weeks, was swimming sideways at times and his fins looked awful. Maybe I’ll try keeping him out of the tank for a few days after treatment in an smaller aquarium the next time and see if that helps.

Kills algae AND your goldfish
It made the water look beautifully clear of algae, but⦠My two goldfish almost died! They stopped eating and really moving altogether. After two weeks, I completely changed the water since it was clearly affecting them. They perked up, but then their faces started to get black spots all over them. I showed ChatGPT and asked what was wrong with them and it said they most likely had ammonia burns to their faces from the tablets, and they were now healing. So yes, this product works to eliminate algae, but it will also kill your goldfish.

This stuff really does an excellent job of helping me clean up my tank. I’ve posted pros & cons below to help make your decision simple.Pros1) It’s cheap2) It makes my tank look great, and does a good job of getting rid of algae3) It doesn’t change the color of my waterCons1) I don’t like that you have to remove the carbon filtration2) I wish there were more tablets in the box. This box treats 80 gallons of water. Just depends on how much you need3) I’m not 100% sure of how safe this product is for the fish. This may sound ridiculous, because my fish look fine, but I wonder if this increases their likelihood of getting cancer, or other diseases long term. The box does say the product is a known carcinogen to the state of California. And there are a bunch of scary warnings on the back about how it’s illegal to use it for any other purposes than as described on the packaging. I guess they don’t want you to poison people with it? It hasn’t killed any of my fish though.Other helpful info: Usually takes a week before the full effect kicks in. Also, only seems to clear my aquarium for a month or two. Guess if you leave the lights on too long, the algae always is gonna find it’s way back.Overall, when I’m looking to rid my aquarium of algae, this is my go to product. I highly recommend this product, and hope you’ll be happy with it just as I have.

Killed my fish!
Please do not buy this product. I bought this product and was having second thoughts about using it after reading how poisonous it can be. . I have three tetras in a 40 gal tank- 2 small ones and 1 big one that I have had for almost 2 years now. I cleaned my fish tank yesterday and changed about 50% of the water. I had algae growth in different areas of the tank and reluctantly decided to use these tablets. The instructions called for 1 tablet for each 10 gal- I only fill up the tank halfway, so 20 gal of water- so I used 2 tablets. About 4 hours later, I noticed my big tetra going up to the top of the water which was unusual because it always liked to be in the back of the tank and lower. I looked for the 2 little ones, and I found one stuck next to the side of the filter dead. The other one was nowhere to be found. I immediately knew it was the tablets. I syphoned almost 60% of the water out and dumped new water in again, this time I put more than I did earlier that day, hoping it would somehow make it better. A few hours later, the big tetra falls to the bottom of the tank almost lifeless. I took it out and put it a bowl of clean water but itâs too late.I wish I had read other peopleâs reviews of this product because it wasnât until I used the tablets that I read them and there were a lot of bad ones. I followed the instructions to a T using this product, and all my fish are dead. I wish I had followed my instinct.
