Safe and Non-Toxic, Long-Lasting Color: Made from high-quality polymer materials, this horse feed bag is non-toxic and tasteless, ensuring it’s gentle on your horse’s mouth. The material features vibrant colors with strong color retention that won’t fade easily. It is highly resistant to wear and tear, making it durable and difficult to damage even with long-term use.
Multiple Mesh Sizes to Suit Different Feeding Needs: To accommodate different feeding speeds, 3 mesh sizes are available: 1.25″ (Ultra Slow Feed), 1.75″ (Slow Feed), and 2″ (Moderate Feed). By adjusting the feeding pace, the hay nets for horses effectively help prevent overeating or digestive issues caused by eating too quickly – closely mimicking natural grazing behavior.
Saves Hay, Reduces Feeding Costs: Compared to traditional ground feeding, using a hay net can reduce hay waste by up to 50%. It prevents trampling and keeps off ground, helping to lower feeding costs and improve overall feeding efficiency.
Easy to Install and Widely Applicable: Designed to be lightweight and user-friendly, the slow feed hay net can be quickly hung on fences, walls, stalls, or other fixed points. The wide opening makes it easy to fill, and it’s simple to clean – ideal for both individual horse owners and large stables.
Strict Quality Control, Reliable Choice: Every hay net undergoes rigorous inspection before leaving the factory, ensuring consistent quality and long service life. A smart choice for horse owners who value both durability and cost-effectiveness.

Durable, easy to use, and saves hay!
These Tackmore slow feed hay nets have been a game changer in my barn. The 52ââ length holds plenty of hay, and the slow-feed design really helps cut down on waste while keeping my horses occupied for longer. The material feels strong and durable, with solid stitching that holds up well even with daily use.Theyâre easy to fill, easy to hang, and the two-pack makes it convenient to rotate or set up in different spots. Iâve noticed my horses eat more slowly and calmly, which is exactly what I wanted.Overall, these nets are excellent quality for the price, and Iâd definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to stretch their hay, reduce mess, and keep their animals happier.

Quality Hay Nets
These hay nets are made of a heavy duty quality rope, my horses havenât been able to rip holes yet. Plenty of string to cinch up bags and hang them. Fits a single 2 string bale nicely but could probably fit 1.5 -2 bales if you stuffed the net flake by flake. Hole size of the net is good, not too frustrating for my horses but also keeps them from making a mess.

Ok Hay Nets!
These hay nets are huge! They can easily hold a square bale of hay which is very nice, especially if on the road. They are overall quite good. The only reason I took one star off is they are a bit flimsy. Time will tell how well they hold up. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again as long as they last a decent amount of time!

Reason they are cheap! Poor quality netting material.
The good and the bad:1. Easily holds a small square bale of hay.2. Rope slides easily through loops when opening and closing the net.3. The rope is knotted at the end, which poses a safety hazard for a foot or leg to get caught up in the loop after tying up the bag. If you take the knot out, the rope slips out of the loops at the end very easily when the bag is opened and you are left needing to restring it.4. Net material content is not identified but feels and acts like cheap polypropylene or other synthetic fiber. When you bunch a strand up (see pic) the individual strands are easy to see. This is a loose weave and will not hold up long term. Although they claim each net gets a “rigorous inspection”, but there are loose strands of individual strings in parts of the net (see pic). These could easily end up in a horse’s gut. If not passed, they can potentially cause intestinal issues.5. The large ring at the end of the net would quickly become my horses’ spot to get larger mouthfuls, thus defeating the purpose of less waste and slow feeding. My barn cats love to sleep on filled nets; claws would not be kind to this material.6. The “knots” are not tied, but rather looped together. The “knots” slip apart creating smaller loops. A horse pulling hay out and grabbing loop will close the holes to a smaller diameter, which changes the dynamics of the net. My horses would be frustrated by this. These cost less than half of what a quality hay net costs, but that does not mean they will save you money. I have been feeding from hay nets for 15 years and still use my original nets daily; no holes, no loose strands or fraying, no safety concerns. I cannot recommend the Tackmore nets due to the loose strands and cheap material they are made from. If you decide to use them, be very vigilant about checking them for wear and tear. They do not mention this, but if using net hay bags around horses with shoes, they need to be put in something that prevents the horse from getting a shoe caught in the net. Based on the loose strands and weave of the netting, I will not use these with my horses; nor will I donate them to a riding non-profit I support. I currently have some sunflower heads that need drying so will put one to work for that purpose.

Great size and quality
These are absolutely amazing! Great quality and huge. You could probably fit a whole bale in here so they would be perfect for shows or long periods of time. The holes are the perfect size for slow eating but not too slow.

Absolutely perfect slow feed hay bags!
These are high quality slow feed hay bags. Unlike most slow feed hay bags that don’t work to slow down your horse, these absolutely do. I knew as soon as I laid eyes on the product that these are high quality. The mesh is thick, the hole size is small enough to slow a greedy horse and the hay bag itself looks like it will hold at least half a bale or more. The tie rope is thick and strong.I’m very happy with these and think they are worth every penny. And you get a pair of them!

Large Capacity Quality Nets
I selected the Tack More 2 piece 1.75â slow feed bay nets in a 52â length, and am happy with the items. I did an unbagging video showing how they come new, how wide they open up, and putting some hay in them. These should easily fit a 50lb bale, making them great for travel, shows, or multiple horse use.The materials are good quality, with nice thick cords. The ring on the bottom is thick and sturdy. I expect to get a long use of this set. I have several from better known manufacturers, and these seem just as good.
