It works – but drugs help, too!
We have a long-hair cat that is miserable with nails – he scratches and shreds wood trim around doors. When trying to clip his nails, he screams, growls, hisses, bites, scratches… and that’s before touching a single nail. His nails were last trimmed by a vet – who promptly gave us gabapentin to administer before the next trim. Despite the meds, he cat was uncontrollable. So… time for a strait jacket. After reading reviews, we chose this one. I like that it is soft and flexible, without scratchy, loud velcro. We chose size L for a 12 lb long hair cat. We wrapped him up in this harness. I held the harness fabric behind his neck (similar to the idea of scruffing him) and wrapped a towel around his back legs so he couldn’t scratch while kicking. After some initial meowing and testing us, he settled down and let my daughter trim his nails. She clipped all of his front nails, then removed the towel to trim the back nails, then returned to the front nails to trim off more. Afterwards, we released him, gave treats and he forgave us. All is well in his world again. We are grateful for this secure, effective strait jacket / harness.

Jynx just hanging around
Jynx loves hanging in this for me to clip her claws. Nice and soft, easy to use, there’s extra room if she needs it. Works great for cleaning her ears. Good quality material and hooks. Sure lightweight that she didn’t mind having it on outside in the heat. Well worth the money and easy to get her into. You can’t go wrong with this purchase.

Didn’t care too much for that product holding my cat in that was not that secure consider it a loss.

Good quality but not easy to use
Wrangling a cat into this wrap is very hard so that’s why I gave 3 stars. Quality is great. Grip is very good even after several washes. Once you get them into the wrap it works very well to keep them from moving around. It did take 2 of us to get cats into it and cut their nails. We have not tried hanging them.

Not the straight jacket I hoped for.
Cat clawed new leather sofa. Cat needed claw covers or missus and me were going to have a showdown over said cat. This looked like a good option to immobilize him while he got trimmed and covered… but he escaped quickly and he’s 13. I was really looking foreward to “hanging the cat”. I Just wanted to be able to say that. We resorted to leather gloves and brute force. My idea of a tube stock full of catnip over the head was denied.
