Love the padding!
So I used to have to take my cat to the vet to be sedated for her nail trims. I absolutely hated taking her their and having them do that. Not anymore! She purrs as soon as I out her in this and wrap the padding around her neck. The cord by the feet make it so she can’t wiggle out at all. The amount of padding is so much more than any of the other brands. Love it!

Not for every cat
The concept of this grooming hammock is great in theory â it really does make trimming and basic care easier to reach and control. However, my cat looked very uncomfortable and quite scared while using it. The material seems sturdy, but it didnât seem to provide the sense of security I hoped for. It might work better for calmer cats, but for mine, it just caused more stress than help. I love the idea, but itâs not the right fit for every cat.

Hang in there!
I canât say either of our cats were a fan of this but I am! Our polydactyl kitten (23 toes) was purring at the time I put her in this and only stopped when I left her hanging because I had to run for the nail clippers I had forgotten in my focus on getting her wrapped up and suspended. Normally she hisses and growls when getting her nails clipped, not because sheâs getting hurt but because she is very dramatic about it when she has to do anything other than exactly what she wants. Normally growling or hissing but she did start whining before I was done. I was worried about how I was going to hang her up by myself but we had pillows piled in there so after I hooked the straps I just removed the pillows. Our male cat I didnât even have to hang up. I could tell by the way he stiffened up after I put it on him that he wasnât going anywhere due to being put in the hammock. I just clipped his nails while he was on the couch, using the straps to lift and set him over on his other side to reach his other nails.I think this does a great job of holding the cats without a lot of effort, and I like how it evenly supported the kittenâs body so there wasnât a strangle point anywhere or more weight on any one part of her body. Without the ability to put weight on her feet she put up zero resistance while I did her nails, not even pulling a paw away.My only cautionary note is for anybody with a cat who likes to chew on strings. When we first got this and I left it on the table I was at hand when she went to chew on a strap. I immediately put it out of her reach. After I put it on her, while I was tucking the flaps over her, she immediately went to investigate the keg drawstrings with her teeth. I immediately distracted her out of it. Just keep it out of reach and keep a watchful eye while putting it on your carpet shark. My final note is I had to go back and look at the images online, as well as another user video, to realize it seemed confusing as to how I was going to put it on because I was looking at it 90 degrees off from the way it should face. The size tag should appear at the tail end of the hammock, for correct orientation. The way I had been looking at it would have left no path for a tail. Definitely a great grooming tool at a reasonable price!

Quality grooming sling, (L) fits our overweight cat!
We got the large version of this and it fits our big overweight cat. She is at the top end of the weight limit for this. It fits on another cat we have that’s over the listed weight limit too, but he is just big overall, and not so much fat around.I’m not suggesting anybody use a product if their cat is over the listed weight limit for it, I’m just saying your experience may vary, based on the shape of your cat. And the L size is quite a nice, big cat grooming harness for our cats at the high end of that scale. It has tassels for the leg size, the stitching is sturdy and the entire produce seems pretty high quality. The “self adhesive” material (fuzzy cloth-like) holds together very well if you try to pull it straight apart, so your pet shouldn’t be able to push its way out of it. Yet it’s soft and doesn’t make any noise when pulling it apart, it’s totally silent and won’t scare your cat like Velcro can. This adhesive material is great, but I can see how over time that hair build up on it would make it less effective. This is likely why this product comes with a little sticky hair and lint roller. If you use this product often, you’ll likely want to get more sticky style lint rollers to keep the adhesive parts clean. The one issue I have is that I feel like the hooks that hold the harness up are just “average” quality, where as the rest of this thing is higher than average. They seem to still will work fine, but when the rest of the product is above average, it feels like those hooks should have been, as well.Still, overall I love this cat grooming sling. It’s so much better than previous harnesses I’ve had. Not many cats are super thrilled to be put in these, but sometimes you have to use them, and the large one holds our overweight cat well, for those back end shavings and grooming that she normally doesn’t want to allow.

Donât waste your money on this
No this item did not be my expectations. Donât waste your money unless your catis asleep the likelihood of you getting him or her into this device to basically disable them so you can cut their nails or groom them is zero. Youâre better off with the basic burrito technique or a mild sedative, which is the last resort in your Veterinarian.
