Buy this bird cage
Number 1. Itâs solid wrought iron, not flimsy metal. It has trays around the cage that captures food ! It comes with 2 perches. It went together easily and quickly. This looks like a high end cage. I now have 2 of them and Iâm so happy to have found for a good price. !

A really decent cage
I read allot of the reviews here before purchasing this cage. In my head, it was… ok if it doesn’t work at least I tried it for the price point I’m getting it at… But the cage is lovely. The way the cage goes together, is like the cages in my local bird store, but already assembled. BUT I have a conure, who does not pull on cage sides, or chew on bars, or even who has the strength to disassemble something like this. For my bird, this cage works lovely, and the locking system is more than capable, with his last cage, he was able to open it. He’s one smart cookie. With this he can’t open the front, or the food doors.Things to take into account… The food dishes are on the right side, if you want to move them, buy different attaching dishes. There are small and large bowls, they can’t be switched – the small bowls go on top and the large go inside the cage. The doors for the food and water close like they do so that a bird can’t shake the bowl and take it out of the holder and make the food go everywhere (birds make food go everywhere as it is just eating normal, they’re messy lovely creatures). There is no shelf, I knew this going in. The skirting isn’t fantastic… price point taken into account. I’m not sure what is supposed to go on top of the top bar, but I’ll hook something up eventually.

Easy to assemble. Instructions were vague it was all pictures which sounds good but the bolt instructions were a little frustrating. Sturdy great quality. Room wise itâs okay not super super big but it is a for a smaller bird.

I love this cage! I bought this cage for my cockatiel after her other one started breaking. I was looking for a larger cage that would last longer, and found this one. It is perfect! Not only did it meet those requirements, but it is SO easy to clean! The bottom tray sits well below the bottom of the cage, which seems to help. I love that both the bottom tray and the bottom grid slide out for easy cleaning. The stainless steel food/water bowls swing out, making it easy to clean and refill them. The large door makes it easy to take my bird in / out. The cage is sturdy and stable.When reading some previous reviews, there were reports that parts were bent when they open the box. I did not find this. All of my parts are in perfect condition. It was well packaged, with reinforced sides, edges, and corners. The reinforcesing pieces were both stapled and glued so they stayed in place. The strapping around the box was taped in place. Once opened, each piece was bubble wrapped. It couldn’t have been better packaged!The written instructions were very unclear, and the English was poor, but i was able to assemble it quickly and easily from the pictures.I am VERY satisfied with this purchase. This cage is perfect!

It seems to be a fair purchase for the money.It IS NOT wrought iron. A number of vendors say this for this product. It is bar and wire stock, machine welded together. To cover this is a decent powder coat paint. I would not subject this to external weather conditions if you want long term life of the metal.For birds, IMO, anything larger than a Timneh gray might be too much for the wire integrity. These wire bars that make up the majority of the containment are very easily bendable.This vendor mentions putting a Macaw in this environment; 1-livable space too confined for this sized bird and 2-a macaw could deal with these bars as easily as humans with paper clips: bend them at will.This is not a CalCage. That business is sorely missed. Packaging refers to the product as PET REPUBLIC Model 61.For smaller birds this will be fine. Need a handful more of perches and some wheel locks could be useful but that does not seem common for cages in general.It is an inexpensive option. Durability: short term. Keep your expectations in check.Update – A very strong negative issue is that the food dishes of the top perch sticks are below where our bird sits. We were constantly having to dump any food and wash the bowls. Additionally, the height level difference of perch to bowls made it difficult for our bird to reach. Plan for something else, possibly a different perch entirely, some form of DYI creation.Also, the wire ladder from the top of the cage to the top perch has a gauge thickness that our gray could not manage as it was too small to hold on to. Appeared to be painful. We bought and cut to size a wooden ladder from a local pet store. Another DYI solution.Not enough horizontal cross bars of the cage itself; the structure of the bars are aligned vertically, not uncommon. Our gray had difficulty navigating around the cage as he was sliding down from wherever he started from traveling horizontally. Nothing to stop his downward slide.Possibly painful for a bird with sore feet.

Itâs easy to clean. It not sturdy enough and the gage of metal shouldnât been higher. My African Grey opens all the doors. He takes the feeding bowls along with the holder for the feeding bowls and tosses them. Itâs the worst cage I ever bought for my parrot and this is my third. Iâm totally disappointed.
