It’s easy to assemble! But if you don’t have padding for your pet then I suggest Buying it for this kennel. I’m using it for my rat and I feel her toes will be uncomfortable with the metal, let alone cold. So I don’t have padding so I’m using old clothes which is working. my rat loves it so I think your pet will too! The wheels are a bit hard all the way but I think it’s okay. If you have a rat/small pet and you are Looking for a kennel that has tiny spaced bars then this isn’t for you, unless you’re fine with the rat/small pet poking their head through the bars. The instructions are a bit basic, which is cool, I got an extra screw and a small mental piece but I think that’s okay. Jus in case anything happens I think. I’m 5’2 1/2 and this kennel, with the wheels, goes jus above my waist. It comes with a small bowl and a drinking bottle. The bottle is pink, i don’t know if there’s other colors but that’s what I have, it also comes with a plastic piece to put on the bars so its sturdy. My rat loves it! It’s huge and she likes to go up and down the latters! I suggest not doing this alone though 𥲠I was alone while doing it and It fell apart a few times. Good luck!

Not for Baby Ferrets
So I really love this cage. It’s compact & fits nicely in a standard apt closet. Its also on wheel’s! You can roll the cage, (doors open) next to the bed. Cage has top and bottom access. When you’re assembling the cage be sure to carefully look over any gaps. The bottom crate & ramp’s are not comfortable for your ferrets pads. You will NEED to get covers for the ramps, Standard covers will not fit these ramps, they are too small. I found some mop swifter covers at the dollar store and they are a perfect fit for these ramps. I have also had to take needle nose pliers to the ramps to keep them in place. When you get the cage set up, watch your ferret to be certain its 100% safe. This cage is NOT for baby ferrets unless you put the ramps up later. I watched my 3month ferret nose dive from the top level.

Love it just needs minor adjustments
I purchased this cage for my ferret and she absolutely loves it I love it also I like the fact that she can see everybody and everything around her at all times I also love the fact that it’s easy to interact with her while she’s in the cage the only problem that I have is the width of each individual level. The landing platforms in the cage are just not wide enough I had to take two of them and zip tie them together so that she can have a platform to sleep on so that took away from it being a four-level cage to a three-level cage with all this extra room up top that’s not being used another downfall is because of the small width of the shelves and she not having enough room she pulls all of her bedding down to the bottom floor where she uses the bathroom and gathers up all of her bedding stuff down there to where she can have room to actually lay but to me that is defeating the purpose of using the bathroom on the bottom of the cage if she’s going to also feel the need to use that part of the cage as a place to sleep also.

Bars were bent. One leg was almost in half. This is a huge safety issue for small animals. It says sugar gliders can be homed in the cage however they climbed right out. I am now trying to heal my precious glider. Angry and very disappointed.

I bought this cage for my daughter’s two pet rats. It’s nice and big and they love running up and down to the different levels. However, although the description said specifically that would work okay with small animals such as rats, we found to our dismay that they could slip right through the bars. They’re about 200 g, so they’ve got a little more weight to put on before they reach their full size, but they can escape easily and I’m not at all sure there will be a point where they can’t, even when they’re full-size adults. We took window screen mesh and covered the whole thing with that, using zip ties. It took a lot of time and was very tedious, but it now works fine to contain them.The mesh was loose in one spot recently and one rat escaped during the night. Luckily it went right over to my daughter to cuddle with her, and she put the rat back safely, and it’s just an adorable story now. But we now know that we have to be vigilant about keeping the mesh covering every single square inch.The bottom gate sticks every time we open or close it, so we usually use the top gate which works fine. It’s just annoying that it’s not constructed better.
