Product description

REPTILES, being cold-blooded animal species, need to stay warm for overall well-being.
For their upkeep, humidity sources in their enclosure are required. Spreading a thick layer of SunGrow Leaf Litter over the substrate is one such way. In this pack, you will receive 10 dried leaves that you need to spread onto the bottom of the floor. These are said to be magical leaves. You may see the top getting dried, but the bottom of the litter stays moist.
The presence of leaf litter attracts caterpillars, bugs, and worms creating a more diverse habitat. Over time, the dried leaves will provide a moisture-retentive soil where plants can thrive. You may prepare tadpole tea by boiling the leaves for 5-minutes. The water will turn into a yellow-brownish hue and will help in lowering the pH level of the soil and help in overall development of these cold-blooded reptiles.
It’s not just snakes and other reptiles that benefit from leaf-litter; box turtles, butterflies, insect-eating birds, and many other wildlife benefit from this native-like-habitat. You may also use these leaves for fun DIY crafts such as designing ornaments for a Christmas tree or use it as a stuffing for a scarecrow.
As soon as you receive your packet, rinse all of the leaves and boil them for 5-10 minutes prior to adding them into their tank. Since we procure our leaves from genuine sources, the leaves have traveled a long distance to reach you and a precautionary step would prove to be beneficial.

Create A Reptile Hide On The Leaf Substrate — When the pack of 10-pieces of dried leaves by SunGrow is spread on the floor of the vivarium, see your beloved pets crawling and leaping over their snake bedding. With the passage of time, they will crush the leaves providing you with a visual barrier and hide for the inhabitants. Once it breaks down, the litter will be highly beneficial for your reptile’s overall development.
Provides Thermal Cover For Hibernation And Estivation — Reptiles have countless strategies to deal with extreme climatic conditions. Leaf litter keeps the temperature consistent and shields your pet against cold and heat. Snakes, chameleons, bearded dragons, geckos, tortoises, and others are good diggers who can burrow deep into the soil to reach their leaf litter. See your pet making room in snake aquarium tank for spending and surviving extreme conditions!
Improves Chances Of Reproduction — If you want to create opportunities for a thriving ball python habitat, you need to spread the SunGrow leaf litter in the terrarium setup. As they feed off the litter, the leaves offer them a better and increased chance to reproduce. The breaking down of the leaves influences the pH of the soil thereby creating circumstances for breeding.
Sustain Optimal Population Of Microfauna — Isopods and springtails thrive in such surroundings. Since most reptiles are carnivores, they tend to eat the smaller animal species. The leaf litter attracts centipedes, beetles, millipedes, worms, spiders, and slugs that serve as their food source. Consequently, together, our ball python tank accessories help in keeping the vivarium balanced and clear. The breakdown of leaves also aids in plant growth.
Keeps Their Scale Out Of Dirt — As reptiles live where dirt sticking is a very common occurrence, you need to take precautionary measures being their parents. This sticking of the dirt causes unnecessary stress in them. Adding a thick layer of leaf litter over the ball python aquarium substrate will give them a lot of room from getting muddy in the mud.

Customer Review –
Really Good Leaf Litter
Make sure you understand what you’re reading. You get 10 leaves and they’re about 6 inches in length. I’ve gotten these many times and never had any issues with bugs or mold like I have with the pricey Josh’s Frogs leaf litter. They’re also very sturdy. I use them to cover the substrate in my juvie White’s Tree Frog 18x18x24 tank so they don’t get dirty. I always boil them first for 15 minutes just to be extra safe. My tank isn’t bioactive so I replace them once a month. They help with humidity as well. I like to mix these with smaller leaves and it looks so good!

Exactly what I needed
Great quality.
Alvaro Loza –
Great leaves for snake
The leaves are exactly dried large leaves that come in super handy to create more hiding spaces for your snake. Our ball python has been very happy ever since we added these and they are leave so overtime they will disintegrate, but for now they provide excellent coverage.

10 pack turned out to be 7…
My 10 pack came with only 7 leaves! Theyâre a good size, see picture of it in a 10 gallon tank. But due to the fact that we didnât get the amount promised I wonât be buying from this vendor again.

Good quality
My baby girl corn snake loving coconut bedding, also keeping humidity well. She was going in circles for 2 hours already. And she freaking loves to dig in it.
Danielle –
Big leaves
These leaves are big but they do create a very natural environment. I use these around the base of my spider wood, mixed in with the coco fiber.
Veronica Davis –
