It works, could not shoe my horse because the hoof walls were too weak, after 4 weeks they were strong enough to hold shoes on.

Alternative Use in Home Cooked Dog Food
I have been home cooking my working breed dogs’ food for two and a half decades and find an abundance of horse products to be useful add-ins for my nearly 16 year old Rottweiler. I’ve tried this brand’s products before and have always found them to be very high quality. Additionally, due to the quantity and types of active ingredients in this product, especially for a canine – the value is quite unbeatable.It doesn’t quite feel fair to comment on taste or flavor when offering this product to a different species, but it definitely is an acquired smell. Because I work with my veterinarian when adding new supplements (as all pet parents should) and do not need to administer much of this product to cover my pup’s needs – it will last a few months for my purposes. I was able to successfully administer this product to my pup by covering its taste with some cooked chicken liver, making it very easy to use. Also, because it is a fairly finely ground powder in appearance and consistency, it makes for an easy mix-in.Overall, I think this is a great supplement in effectiveness for my Rottweiler’s skin, coat, and immune system; and am happy to add it to his stack. If my dog grows hooves, I’ll be sure to update this review accordingly. In the meantime, I think this product is helping him look and feel great. Would recommend, with a veterinary consult if using across species, of course. : )

Seems great so far. No side effects!
Appearance wise, it appears to be a really fine powdered supplement. We just started using it on my percheron draft because she get these random chips on her hoofs between trimming. I also have another roan that literally has soft hoofs on her fronts and that has been a steady challenge. It does have a pretty strong smell to it. At first my draft didn’t take to it too well to the taste, but i mixed it with some apple and she was good to go. I’m assuming it’s not so palatable but with a little creativity, it gets easier.The taste is something that they both have to get used to because the benefits outweigh the challenges of having them consume it, as required. I’ve heard alot of positive things about this brand supplement and it’s effectiveness because ofbthe great quality. I have no doubt that this will work out. It’s a 30 day supply, so I will definitely provide an update on the how well it worked. I am happy that it has no side effects so far. I would definitely recommend this product. So far, i am happy with it and so are my horses and their health and happiness is all that matters. Grrat quality produt that is affordable and that’s always an A+. I am very well satisfied with this product so far!

Decent but smelly hoof supplement
My mare has classic Thoroughbred feet and tends to throw shoes so I wanted something to help strengthen her hooves.Looking at the ingredient list, this has what you would expect from a high quality hoof supplement. And it comes from an established brand that Iâve used for the products. My mare has not had any negative side effects.It definitely had a funky smell and since the powder is orangish/yellow it can stain and make a mess. My mare gets other powder supplements in a syringe with water so I just added this to the syringe. She doesnât seem to mind the taste and doesnât try to spit it out. But with the strong smell, it might be hard to get picky eaters to take it if just top dressed.So far itâs hard to tell if thereâs been any changes in her hooves after two weeks. But sheâs kept her shoes on and hasnât developed any new chips. So Iâm optimistic that it will be effective long term.The cost is pretty comparable to other hoof supplements. The container has a 30-day supply.

Great product to have if you have horses
This is a great product to have on hand if you have horses that have any sort of issues with their hooves. The quality of the ingredients seems great. I have no doubts that it will be an effective product. It’s listed at a good price and is a 30-day supply according to the label. This is a fantastic health supplement to have with horses. They label is easy to read. The instructions however were a little difficult to find at first so they should probably change the appearance of the label slightly so that’s a little more readable because that is small print. But overall I think it’s going to be a really good item to have on hand.

Years of wearing pads and after just 2 months her pads are coming off!
My App mare has had exceptionally soft and sensitive feet since I purchased her. Because of this she has been in front pads for ages. Weâre just finishing up the 2nd month of Summitt Hoof Strength powder and Iâve seen a DRAMATIC difference in her hooves, as did my farrier!This last farrier appointment blew our minds. We had ZERO chipping. Yes, ZERO CHIPPING!! Additionally, sheâs been comfortable to ride, she appears to be pain free (as sheâs tearing through the pastures again, bucking, and having a ball) , and the best part is she has been completely sound for over a month. A great little bonus her mane, coat, & tail are also growing out beautifully. Itâs unbelievable. I had been considering taking her pads off IF X-rays revealed she has decent sole thickness. X-ray results are in andâ¦â¦.the pads are coming off! Sheâs just over 1000 lbs and gets 1 scoop in her feed each evening.This is an amazing, highly effective, and easy once a day use product, and very reasonably priced. I will be getting this again! Highly recommended and wish you the same results!
