Very squirrel proof.
Sure did make the squirrels give up on getting the bird seed. Great feeder, worth the money.

Birds love it. Squirrels donât.
Squirrels do not get into this feeder. They donât even try after just a few days. Cardinals took a bit to get used to it but now all the birds eat from it.

Good quality but not meant for bird seed with nuts in it
It is actually squirrel proof! It is metal and seems sturdy. My only complaint which is a big one is that I use bird seed that has peanuts in it and the holes for the seed to flow out into the tray did not work well with the peanuts. It just jammed them in and the birds had trouble getting to seed. I took it apart and fried open the holes a little bigger and it works better but it’s not the best feeder if you have bird seed with any type of nuts or fruit in it.

My squirrels are starving
This is the best bird feeder I have ever bought. I must have spent over $250 over the past 2 years on different “squirrel proof” feeders. They all were garbage and the squirrels had a buffet. Now they are going hungry. This one really works ! Highly recommend…

Birds seems to hate it. Same seed as before.
I donât understand why, but the birds in SC hate this feeder. They literally will not come near it. The squirrels donât either, but I had it up for weeks and the birds rarely came to it. Same seed they were tearing up before with the old feeder. Itâs too late to return it so it was a waste of money. I guess Iâll try to find one like the old one. Itâs a shame, since itâs great quality, but no use if the birds wonât use it.

Dumps seeds all over the ground
The main tube of my previous bird feeder had a hollow, plastic tube, which was eventually found and gnawed by the squirrels. This metal bird feeder is far more rugged, and it keeps the squirrels out, but it dumps most of the seed onto the ground. The ports are enormous, and I’ve tried taping several closed to reduce waste, but it isn’t working. The birds are pecking around on the ground like chickens, and I have a very lush patch of grass because bird seed is mostly grass seed. I’m quite annoyed because this is too expensive to simply discard.
